Sdkfz 251 Backdate Assembly Instructions !!
I have been conversing with KRW-190. He is really interested in the possibility of doing a few SDKFZ 251 customs. Here are a few of his ideas. I think that these would be cool as well. Especially when the 251 cost is reasonable. Any interest ?

Does anybody know how to convert these click ons to real pics ?

I think you would have to copy down the pictures to your computer and post them on a picture hosting forum and link to them that way - I haven't figured out a way to link directly to pics otherwise.

This should work for the photos. You just need to right click the image you want to post and "copy image address" then in the body of the post here hit the img buttom above, hold command-V to paste, then hit the img button again to close the code.

this is one of my favorite vehicles for exactly this reason, there are so many cool variants to build. I've got tons of info on these, both books and a huge archive of images I've saved over the years. I'm off to lunch but I'll dig up some more variants when i get back.
251-10 w/3.7cm PAK - nice because if you build the PAK you could re-use most of it for a free standing one!

I don't think so. I forgot to post that one. I like the IR search light. It is just like making a light holder it should not be to bad to do. ( I think )MG-42 wrote:[+] > That last image of the "Owl" w/ night vision infared night optics and search-light ,

Thanks Matt . ... "Btw" , I didn't intend to be rude quoting myself over KWR ,.. I just hate it when somebody posts something almost right on top of you , especially when you want to know something. I just wanted some immediate Attn., I guess.

Maybe I'm simple (arguments on that ) but to copy any image/pic all I do is place the cursor on the pic and right click and one of the selections is "Save picture as..". Just click that and you can put the pic anywhere you want it.
I have Vista but I am sure I did the same thing with "old" systems.
Simple way to save anything you want.

Your method for posting the pictures is called "hot-linking"
It is not a an ethical thing to do.
A retailer will have to pick up the cost of the extra band-width traffic. For some small retailers this is significant.
It's better to save the pictures to your computer and then upload them to a free image hosting site, Like image shack (there are heaps out there, use google and search for free image host)

OK I will try to do a poll. If I can't I will make another post.1958Zelda wrote:I agree with Grunt1,like them all, lets vote on which should come first.
James most of the click ons I had were off of modeler links . I do not think retaillers are envolved.
If I do do the post ( do do ? ) I am not sure of the numbers so I will do it the dummy way.
The IF searchlight and 88 mil prototype would be the easiest. The 88 prototype looks hardcore with that big gun.
I'd agree but the pic posted (2nd from the top) is of the 251/17 ausf. C which is a whole different project. The ausf. D 17 with Flak 38 variant is no where near as cool and was much less common.normandy wrote:Pickelhaube, I like the 251/17 that one looks cool.
Il fait chaud!!!
The 21 is my favorite but that triple MG151 and mount get's pretty intricate.
Next up I'd go with the 16 since anything that shoots flame full of win and the molding could get double duty since it's pretty much the same for both sides.
The 9 is kinda boring from the front but the interior is interesting.
I'd actually really like the 10 mainly since the 3.7 PAK could be modded
The UHU and IR are really interesting but they really just don't do much for me and are kind of oddities.
I found some pics from the board way back of some really nice customs of these but I can't remember who made them.
