Almost makes me want to sell mine... I'll even include my custom Boyington figure
However, that is one of my favorite planes and one I won't get rid of, given that Pappy Boington was a friend of my father's and lived out his final years in my hometown
Pretty cool to know its worth al ot as well. However, those buyers that paid $500 for one will be in for a shock when, perhaps in a few months, the Legends version of the same plane comes out

Yeah I saw the big auctions after I had taken mine out of the box to put in my display at the new house But, I buy them for me to have fun with--not for eBay speculation.

And thus the reason I buy 2 of each plane. I still have my 2....Quixote511 wrote:Yeah I saw the big auctions after I had taken mine out of the box to put in my display at the new house But, I buy them for me to have fun with--not for eBay speculation.

This one is the original release, 2005, I think. I don't think the Legends versions has even been released for pre-order yet.Light.Inf.Scout wrote:Hell, I didn't even know it was out yet!? I tought it was still a pre order.
The people that spend this crazy kind of money are going to be real bummed when they do release the Legends version. Even if the Legends Boyington corsair costs $80, it's still a bargain compared to the prices that are being paid now on ebay.

toyktdlgh did the smart thing with his though by including the Boyington look-a-like pilot from the Avenger with his. This one will bring big big bucks too but I think would bring more with the extra fig. I'm sure tons of guys out there still don't know about this fig that comes with the Avengers...
You can rest assured I will buy more than one of the Legends Boyington Corsairs.
