1:18 U.S. and German sniper rifles!!

Post by RED » Wed Mar 29, 2006 1:23 am

Hey y'all -- just got done with my custom job of a U.S. '03 Springfield rifle with a M8 8X telescopic sight. It was a 21C ~ K-98 Mauser ~ that I turned into the '03. The sight is made from a tooth pick from Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurant ( the ends have been milled on one side so they work pretty good and they are only $2 for 400 tooth picks -- or close to it--). The sling is leather string that you can fined in most craft and hobby shops.I used wood to make the front barrle band and sanded down the pistol grip to give it more of an '03 look. The sight is from the BBI modern sniper rifle that I cut off and cut the end off of and super glued to the rifle. Both rifles only took about a hour to do--I had pics of real rifles to go by-so it was pretty easy to do.Hope you enjoy--thanks--RED--[img][/img][img][/img]

Thanks y'all-- This is one custom that is very easy to do. The K-98 only took about 10-15 mins. to do,it was a little more work on the '03 but only had about a hours worth of work for both rifles!!! Thanks again---RED---
