"If there is more interest in pics & details, let me know." Yes, please post more pics of your custom.

Sven, This is absolutely fantastic......you've taken a toy and made it look more like a model!!!
Great idea! and I'd love to see it in one of your dioramas. :salute:

My diorama is full of german tanks and vehicles. No space left for the US-Boys
This is why I´m thinking about to let them all go. If there is some real interest I´ll put some pics of my US-collection into the trade & sell section.

Great pictures Sven. I love all the details you've put into this custom and trying to figure out what models
they came from.
I see you may be selling your US collection and the Dragon Wagon. Your work on this chap mei toy made
me go out and buy one today, its not a bad platform to use for a 1:18 custom.
Thanks for the pics!

If you wanna build a M25 like mine you need to buy 2 of the Chap mei toys because of the wheels. You need to double up the rear wheels at the truck and the Trailer and you need the spare wheel mounted on the truck. This means for a more or less correct model you need 9 more wheels. 10 are mounted on the Chap Mei base. Or you cast the wheels by your own. If you do this-->please let me know   I´ve got one more crazy idea
If you need information, tips and tricks for the built, please feel free to contact me.

I thought I'd need more wheels..... :? If there is a sale I'll get another, I don't plan on starting this custom
soon so I've got some time. Anyway I found 2 pics of an M26A1 DRAGON WAGON I took at the Museum
of American Armor in Old Bethpage here on Long Island.

Thanks! The B-25 is the Flying Styro Kit (now discontinued) B-25 model, with heavy modification.

Thanks! It sure is 1/18, fully scratch built. The frame is entirely brass tubing that was soldered together. Vacuformed canopy, and the internals are a mix of resin, aluminum, and wood. More info and photos here: http://www.warbird-photos.com/gpxd/view ... =1&t=30818.

Fantastic work on that Dragon Wagon, YT. B-29, I love the work you did with those planes and especially the scratch-built Bell 47 and FSK B-25. I regret not getting one of those when they were available...

Anyways, I've completed some further custom/conversion projects in the past month or so including a Sturmgeschutz (StuG) IV and a Sturmpanzer IV "Brummbar" conversion of the 21c 1/18 Panzer IV using Aracula's kit as well as the motorcycle & side car from "Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade" built using Pickelhaube's sidecar kit:

B-29, nice customs....I like the B 25 and the Bell chopper is fantastic, nice job!

YT, love the Dragon Wagon....and the pic with the Horten 229 is very cool. I had that same idea
but I'm not ready to dismantle one of my 229's.

Tman, you've done a great job on Aracula's kits and Pickel's sidecar.

rschaap, great topic oh and great customs!

There is a ton of talent around here and it has grown over the years. I am very thankful for the supportive environment and all the good ideas that get passed around to help one another out. I've picked up more than one new method for building or customizing projects simply by watching what others are doing and listening to their recommendations. Sharing and learning new ideas is precisely the point of these online forums :D

There certainly is plenty of talent here! The Dragon Wagons and Armor customs are fantastic! And thank you for all of the kind words on my models. I have one more I forgot to share, it is a modification of the Hobbyking 1875mm B-17, almost perfectly in scale with 1/18. This one, unlike the B-25, still flies on a regular basis. So it's more of an RC than a scale model. But incredible fun nonetheless.
