Ordered an Sidewinders F-18 the other day, and I'm looking for some upgrade parts for it, the exaust is a must, so if anyone can get me a link to a set, and maybe some more upgrades if there are any, it would be MUCH help to me!

Pickel, what kind of help could you give me with this, if I were to send it to you?

Here are pics from the AN/AAS-38A FLIR and Laser targetting pod (about 1993), used on F/A-18: From Wikipedia:
Inert model found at bpbsurplus.com: It is 76" long.
.
It was mounted together with the ASQ-173 FLIR (source: Wikipedia):
The newest version (in use on the F/A-18E) is called ATFLIR (AN/ASQ-228) and replace 2 or 3 previous pods that have been used together, from Wikipedia, here on a F/A-18:
.
The Helicopter Pilot, I could'nt reach the link you gave.
BTW, board member A10_Loader also made a FLIR pod for his detailled Tomcat, but I don't know which type it is:

Finally, found the reference for the pod that A10Loader made for his superdetailled Cat: it is the AN/AAQ-13 and -14 target and nav pod from the LANTIRN system.
For my own BBI F/A-18C, I would be happy with only the AN/AAS-38A pod.

The pod/FLIR looks easy enough what about the fuel probe and airbrake ?
Any pics of that ?
The FLIR pod looks to be quite simple to fabricate.
Is the fairing for the pod on the F-18 model ?
I do not have one.

Are they on both sides of the aircraft ?

The AAS-38A hangs to its pylon on the left side of the aircraft. Same for the more advanced ASQ-228. According to what can be seen on pics, the pylon is attached to the fuselage above the Sparrow missile place. I have not seen pics from the front of the airplane, so I don't know the angle it has with the missile attach. But to fit exactly on this curved and straigt surface of the air intake/Sparrow missile place seems difficult to make with a perfect fitting between pylon and fuselage...
The pics show that the AAS-38A can be used alone (left) or with the ASQ-173 FLIR (right). The ASQ-228 is carried left and alone.
Pickel, how interested are you in making such a kit???

The AN/AAS-38 would be my preferred, I guess the armament, would be a good start to this project before I get to out of hand with all the extra detail to the model, I'm sure a lot of people are tired of the stock bombs on the F-18, we need some type of ATG weapons on our model's' and maybe a way around how the sidewinders are permanently attached to the rails, I'd like to have the option to have rails only on this model.

Very if there is a lot of demand.

The FLIR pod on A10 loader's Tomcat is made by JSI and included on the Black Knights F-14 release. He did add a lot of detail to it but he didn't make it.

The_Helicopter_Pilot, you mentionned that you'd be interested in a lot of stuff to improve your Hornet. A very honorable project, but... if you want an airbrake open, than you should plan a fuselage inside job. If you want the airbrake open, than you should also plan to make the horizontal fin movable, the vertical fin articulated, possibly all flaps down for a landing configuration...
So, I would prefer a less ambitious improvement for which I'm sure to have the money and not a far, far delay to get something achieved. I'm trying to make accurate wooden Sparrow missiles. But smart bombs like the Paveway II compatible with an AAS-38A FLIR/targetting system would make a great thing...
Pickel and other guys, I don't know how to launch a poll...
