Model Power JU-88 and DO-217 Makeovers

Post by Epap » Wed Jan 16, 2013 6:49 am

Very few of the Model Power diecast replicas feature the kind of quality that a serious collector would require. However, it's is possible to rework some of these models to make them far more interesting. Two cases in point are MP's JU-88 and DO-217. Both are approximately 1:100th in scale and this is what they look like in their original form. First, the JU-88:Image

Here are two of MP's JU-88s and two DO-217Es after major redos. On the lower right, a JU-88 bomber has been converted to a JU-88C day fighter, while the other JU-88 sports a Eastern Front scheme. The Dorniers involved considerable effort but both now wear typical maritime bomber schemes:Image

I rarely like night scheme aircraft, but on the Do-217 it looks really great.
Great job Epap!
A helicopter does not want to fly, it just vibrates so much that the ground rejects it
