I have just finished a project I am proud of and was totally impossible without the great work that has been done by Battleground Toys and Pickelhaube Customs. Together they are keeping the scale alive and I am very thankful!!

To build this Panther I bought 3 sets of the fantastic IR scope & searchlight sets from Battleground Toys; http://www.shapeways.com/model/628066/? ... terialId=6
A fantastic deal! All shipped to my house for under $40!!

I also purchased Pickelhaube Customs excellent late war stamped road wheel set for the Panther, also shipped to my house for under $40!! another incredible deal for an incredible kit!!

The up-armored turret deck and intakes were custom made, as were the IR equipment mounts for the gunner and the driver.
I also installed an engine from a 1/18 Tiger I.
I also built a custom 1/18 "Vampyr" soldier to support the Panthers night operations

Let me ask this: How do you make mud for the tracks, and would the technique scale down for 1/32 or would the grains be too big?

I'm almost done with my Kettenkrad but I want to muddy up the tracks to kind of hide the fact they don't roll.

Thanks, there are lots of ways to do it, many people use MIG products which are good but expensive if you are doing something as big as this Panther. If I were you I would use them on the Kettenkrad as it is very small. Just use two brushes, one to apply clear Elmer's school glue and the other to apply the pigment in sections.
