1/18 CH-46 Tonka Repaint/Revamp

Post by Tambo » Mon Nov 12, 2012 11:39 am

Found this Tonka toys rescue chopper at the local Goodwill for $3.00 and I could not pass it up. It appears to look as close as a CH-46 that I've seen for a toy in the 1/18 scale. Going to have fun with this one. First to remove the stickers and windows then add panels. I'll post pictures as I work. Any ideas for a Navy or Marine paint job?

A helicopter does not want to fly, it just vibrates so much that the ground rejects it

I made this simple custom for the cargo room of a GI Joe helicopter. Seats, a door to the cockpit, added a fire extinguisher, some structural ribs...
