My custom works and paint jobs

Post by PLASTICFANATIC » Mon Aug 13, 2012 3:50 pm

Hello forum members,

Some of you may remember some of my work, long ago I posted some of it here to share with fellow members but because a "little" problem with a now infamous long gone member and two of his friends I desided that it was best to leave the community, after all I was the new member.

Most of the work shown was on commision to collectors and their request in terms of the amount of weathering, commo patterns or overal detail fabrication, if any was needed. Some of the work is not in 1/18 scale but I included here for your review.

Please feel free to comment in any way or view about my work, ALL type of views and comments are welcome.

First off, a 1/18 scale 21st Century Panzer IV, the side armor plates and support rack, was made in brass. The partial zimmerite application was made with putty and the turret armored shield access door where opened and new units made of styrene. The cammo patter and turret number was a specifc request of the owner.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the comments and warm welcome once more. Must say that also the custom work shown here by fellow forum members is superb and quite inspiring. The hard work and commitment to keep the flame of the military 1/18 scale models is magnificent indeed and no easy task these days!!!

Great work, welcome back!
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.
