Pickel its more difficult than had thought, I think it needs some more work.

Any one know what RLM colors / numbers were used on 21st's series 1 Stuka?
It looks like a dark green and a black green with a light / sky blue on the underside.
I want to use the same splinter camo scheme on the next 229. I think it would look cool flying
-hanging next to the Stuka, an almost 10 year aviation history span.

How do you think the resin gear will handle the weight over time?

All the gear has brass tubing in it.

I also made a tiny triangle stop in the nose gear that almost rests on the large front tire.

If you put a drop of glue on that triangle, glued to the tire it should hold indefinitely. Also if you put a drop of glue on the main gear struts where they hit the tires on top. That would make the main gear monolithic and hopefully hold up as well.

Anyway that is how I designed it.

We shall see if I was correct. With time.

The Stuka colors are the ones I am going with for my S1.

It is very well designed, my concern is more with the front gear putting it's weight upon the resin cage above. Over time resin can decay and droop or compress.

I know that the cockpit is TIGHT as was the original .

But if you get some thin styrene sheeting and cut it to fit the triangled formed from the out side of the cage ,
that will give the cage some major strength .

So the whole cage forms a type of I beam .

What would you say is the hardest part of the build ?

OTHER THAN THE FILLING AND SANDING OF PIN HOLES

Is the vacuum glass easy to work with or was it a pain ?

I wouldn't say its the hardest part but getting canopy and clear plastic just right
is at the top of the list. Once in place it looks great.

I was looking at your DAK rendition.

I know we talked about the little O rings to get the circles but now I am thinking of something different.

If I were to do ( I probably will ) the circle camo pattern. I was thinking of using paper disks used from a paper punch. Like what we used in grade school.

I am thinking of using post it note putty or maybe even silly putty. Just use a tiny ball enough to elevate the tiny paper disks to get the soft edge.

Locate them on the wings were needed and spot shoot the paint right in the middle of the paper disks.

That should get the desired effect.

BUT PROBABLY STILL BE A BIG PAIN TO DO.
