Two custom choppers

Post by bigsarge » Wed Jan 18, 2012 3:58 pm

I am now preparing to take on two separate customs.I am pleased to announce the AH-1 US ARMY cobra and the UH1-D huey...thats right folks....gonna stretch out a B model huey and chop up a parted super cobra and b model to combine for the cobra...note...this is my first attempt at a custom of any kind so any and all input is appreciated...I have been putting kits together and repairing models since i was a kid so i figure i know the basics...just gonna step up my game...i think this should take about 6-8 months...I plan to start this weekend...I will be taking pictures to show before, during and certainly afterwards to include progress and helpful hints and fixes i discover along the way...please join me on this adventure...thanks for looking and post away...

Pickel,I have observed on here for a while and I must say your work is what inspired me to do this....I am sure I will ask for some tips...so even though I may start before you doesn't mean I will finish before you...You are way more advanced than me...so maybe when all is done we can set them up together for comparison...it would be an honor..

Hey Sarge,

Thanks for the compliment. I have sooooo much on my plate this year it is not funny. So much so that I probably will not get to these helos.

But I will do them. I have the sacrificial Huey and Cobra ready to go. The Huey has been ready to go for a couple of years since JSI said they were going to reissue the Huey.

Were did that go ?

It would be an honor to help out if needed. :D
