The F-18 is the 1987-1988 YF-18A Hornet NASA used in their HARV experiments. I filled in all seams, all screw holes, created smooth operating tailerons, sanded down some ECM bumps that didn't exist on the YF-18, removed and filled in the holes left from the LEX fences, and filled in the gun ports since those didn't exist either. I scratch built the gun gas purge vents on the underside of the front fuselage. I also scratch built the angle of attack probes that are on the wingtips. I removed the missiles and sealed in the wing ends and affixed the probes. Those probes are made from solid metal so they're pretty durable. Later I"m going to work on the landing gear doors and make them more realistic like Rob (Mig29K) did to his BBI Hornet about 5 years ago on this forum.
The Sabre is where I increased the yellow a little bit more. A little flashier. And added some testors metallizer paints on the gun panel and exhaust. Nothing major to this model
