Small Scale Military Headquarters

Here is a 1/18 Panther of the 12th SS Panzer regiment somewhere near, Caen/Cagny.
The chips where supposed to look like Red Oxide primer showing through. I over did the weathering for fun. Came out cool though!
The pics are not the best but pretty close to what it looks like in person.

That's the "carbonest steel" looking plastic I've ever seen...Great job!

The tank look like it has been on many battle fronts.It could use a couple of projectile dents on the armor.I think i see one on the front and it looks good.I can not see the end of the main gun,but a few white stripes for the tank kills will make it look like it look more lethal.I like that the red primer is showing as this was commonly seen.most custom tank i have seen have gray scratch marks instead of the red primer showing,but i like the way you did yours.21st century called this 1/18 line "XD",but we all know the factory paint is simple.

THe treads I washed with Mig pigments. Various mixes of "Track brown" and "Light rust."

The mud was also made with pigments. I mixed a little track brown into some water and a few dabs of white glue, not alot! I applied that where I wanted the mud and heavely stippled in some Europe dust with a little beach sand mixed in here and there. That covers the dry stuff. To make the mud look moist in places the mud would collect and be thicker, you just paint in some unscented hairspray from a aerosol can. The hairspray is slightly glossy and will make the mud get darker. I'm sure glosscoat/semigloss would work too. After that all dried I dry brushed it with some light tan, very lightly though.
