I requested jnewboy to do a custom for me and he did, I'm hoping he will post pictures here, but you can see it on his etsy site, it is a very nice job 8), check it out.

Real nice work Jnewboy. Is this supposed to be (or at least resemble) that captured Sherman that allegedly led a column of German armor through Manhay during the Battle of the Bulge? I think I have a picture of it (see below).

I really like how you do your mud effect. Do you use pigments? What do you use to keep it from just coming off?

Yes, they had several during the BoB, I wanted to do one in white wash so I reversed the cross color, the first one I did ?I used decals and thought it looked to clean so I removed them and hand panted them for a rougher look.

The mud is a mixture of paint, pigments, glue and real adobe clay. I pioneered the process over a long period of years of trying different things. It goes on in layers and after the last layer in about 20min I spray with Flat clear

The best thing is I get to put this in my display case 8), a excellent job in my opinion, what is best about this is the fact that I asked for a captured sherman and did not say really what I wanted, but Jon took the idea and built this great model, my hats off to him.
