how i did this is i cut a section out of the gear legs .i drilled the gear legs and installed a pin and brass tube the gear sits closer to the wing and the door covers half the wheel you[/UR[URL=http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2988008880105162229JOiYda]L]the gear can still retract just slide the leg down and close the doors before and affter picsStudly wrote:Hey mikeyt nice to see the undercart doors in the right position...can you tell us how you did it?
yes still will retract or remove and close up the doors your choicetko211 wrote:Looks way better. Do they still retract into the wing properly now that they are shorter? I might have to do this to mine!
you can pull the gear legs back to the orginal size and close the doors or pull them off and close the doors the shorter gears will not retract you have to remove or slide them downtko211 wrote:So just to clarify. Do you have to remove a portion of the main landing gear to retract and close the doors up (now that the gear is essentially shorter). Or do the shorter gears sill allow you the clearance to fit the wheel inside the wheel well.
