PH,
Have you ever thought about making?
-section of a B-17 bomber (waist gunner section) in 1/18?
-doorway section of C-47 in 1/18?
-Any kinds of buildings in 1/18?
I know you uses the resin that is expensive.
Is there another material you could model these items out of that would be less expensive, but yet durable?
Let us know
Pickelhaube - Can you make????

There is a B-17 waist gunner out in 1/16 already.
I think it sells for about $ 200 with fig.
I have also thought about the C-47 with a stick of paras ready to jump.
Thought about it forgot about it.
I did not think there would be much interest.
We already have the figs (kinda) I would just hace to make the fuse shells.
Any more interest In these 2 semi dios ?
Hey yall!!! I made the door section of a C-47 out of tin and wood!!! It was easy to cut and shape the side of the plane, cut the door out, paint, and hang on the wall!!! I got about $4-$5 in it and about 3-4 hours of work---most of that in the painting!!!The tin is just bent/rounded into the shape of the plane and screwed to the wood ,painted, ran some wire for the jump lights, and mounted a wall hanger on the back!!! Im sure PH and alot of other folks could do this and make it better in so many other ways---its just a easy custom to do!!!---RED---

Re: Pickelhaube - Can you make????
I have been going over the Custom and Mods Section from page 1 and came to this thread, it peaked my interest in the subject of aircraft fuselage sections. I have a 1/6 C-47 Fuselage section that Dragon made for it's 1/6 "Jeb"(?) figure. I suppose that I could use this and take the measurements of it and reduce it to 1/18 scale, right? And then use metal sheet to reproduce it over wood? PH, if you have one that you made, is it something that you have in your "arsenal" of customs available, before I set to re-envent the wheel, so to speak?

No that was a typo , I have not made it
But as always if there is interest I will
You can get the sheet aluminum from Home Depot
I would be a quick build
All you would need would be ribbing some flooring and rivet detailing that could Be punched on for effect

PH, Thank you for clearing that up for me. I also appreciate the information on the source of aluminum sheet material and the suggestions on the details too.
