A Little Nightstalker Fun & Other Small Projects

Post by tmanthegreat » Sun Jun 07, 2009 8:09 pm

Just a few small projects I've done over the past few weeks when the time allowed. Nothing really big or fancy - that will come with more free time after I finish my Master's thesis

Anyways, enjoy the pictures :D

BBI MH-6 Littlebird "Nightstalker" converted to attack configuration:

This uses BBI and PTE parts. The BBI parts were originally OD green and I provided the weathering. It still has a little more work to do, including changing the ID numbers.

BBI MH-6 "Nightstalker" in stock configuration:

I've added the troops (albeit with somewhat inaccurate helmets) which are secured by wire ties nearly hidden from view on the backsides of the benches.

Panzer IV Schurtzen revisited:

I got the schurtzen from board member Gary1930 a while back and had them painted up for a few years. I was never really happy with my first attempt. This time I switched paints (Tamyia acrylic instead of Testors) and the results came out pretty decent by my book.

PAK-40 with crew:

This started out as just the gun and crew sitting on the book shelf. It turned out that moving all the little pieces was a pain each time I had to pull one of the books off the shelf. Thus, I decided to mount the gun on a cardboard base so it could be easily moved. Then I added the wall, then the rubble, and well you get the picture.

A nice little mini-dio resulted

I've always wondered, what if the persons on the skids fall off?
Great job.
