How about custom kitbashed armour ???
That is vehicles that were never made or in limited production.
My 2 cents worth ;) :)

how about realistic paint job on an existing vehicle ? I am sure we will have more entry and contest will be more open to everybody without modeling or kitbashing skills.

I think that this is a good idea. Most of us can paint. But some do not have the time to kit bash or custom or have access to prints and kinkos. This would put everybody on a level playing field.

How about custom painted 1/18 figures. Since most of the Germans seem to come in fantasy camo uniforms.

The Dio idea for a contest will help motivate me to clean off my Dio table and generate some new modeling ideas in my brain :P Da General

Im with the dio idea as well. Should it have a theme or just be an open dio contest?

I vote kitbashed armor/vehicles, stuff that isn't seen on the regular market. Not everyone has space for a diorama...

I am up for kitbashed or a Dio or a viganette(sp)

just picked up the Tamiya Sturmpanzer III kit as my next AFV and I got boxes of DML germans for a Dio or whatever.

How about a rather open 1/18 diorama? Any period or theater?

How bout maybe custom crew sets. So for aircraft, maybe something like making a group of ground crew posed as if servicing an aircraft and have some sort of workbench, oil drums, ammo trailer etc So kinda like a dio but without a base. Armour sets could be a bunch of guys working on an engine with a piece of machinery hanging from a hoist. So basically the theme is "Support crews". Kit bashing some figs is a bit more easier to do than whole vehicles. Plus you could get quite detailed if you wanted.

I don't know if all the judge positions are filled up, but if they aren't I'd love to be a judge!

I like B-29's idea of secret or experimental weapons although might be too difficult...

For dioramas I'd possibly suggest something to do with POWs. Maybe a camp, or an escape attempt or maybe someone will make a mock-up of Colditz who knows :D Second idea for dioramas, seeing as it is the dead of summer, would be something DAK/North Africa related... Just my 2 cents!
