That is awesome One of the first of our "non-professional" diorama pictures with a flying WWII plane. Great use of perspective with the 1:18 figures and the 1:144 plane!
You should have totally entered that 21c photo contest from way back when in 2005. You'd have probably won first place with some of your photos!

Really really cool! One of those reminders that some of the most realistic and impressive scenes still can count Mother Nature as part of the set design team I love the use of the 1/144 plane!

I keep going on the theory that someday I am going to do a 1/6 display of figures displaying their 1/24 collections--using 1/144. And since the 1/144 collection keeps growing in bits and pieces, I better get moving before the 1/6 display starts looking like my house and office with 1/18!grunt1 wrote:Outstanding Red..

Hey yall---Thank yall very much---Iam glad yall like it!!!!Im pretty happy the way this pic came out!!! I have been thinking of doing some more dios with other scales with 1:18---I just have to figure out how and what kind out dio Im going to shoot for!!! Oh I wanted to tell yall that I pulled the landing gear off the Hellcat and put it back on in the closed/up position!!!I had to do a little sanding down of the tires so they would fit into the wheelwell---glued and now ready to give a little air support---as long as you dont need to land!!! Again thank yall and thank yall for your feed back---I enjoy reading what yall post about my pics!!!! ---RED---

Hey yall---Thanks again---I have had a few members ask me about doing a few pics in B/W so maybe one day I might!!!! I just have always seen all the real pics of the war in B/W and have always thought what the real pics would look like in color!!!!So that is why all my pics are in color---I think it brings so much more to the picture!!! ---RED---

Hey WARHAWKER---Yes I did and it was pretty easy to do!!! All I did was pull the landing gear out a sanding down the tire down a little so it would fit into the wheelwell and glued it in place!!!It is pretty easy to do---maybe a .30-.45 min custom to do!!! ---RED--- [img]
