Very cool!

Did you add an interior or something equivalent to the nose section and cockpit? From the online pics, they look closed off, but as the aircraft is made from foam, could easily see that being corrected... I looked this plane up and they are still available for anyone interested 8)

No, but I added a photo of the interior in the front to give the illusion that there is one. I originally wanted to, but in order to balance the model, both batteries occupy that space. I do have a few 21C figures on reserve to add in as pilots and gunners though. One thing I do recommend if you get it is to replace the stock props with Master airscrew 8x6 3 blades. The stock props are huge and look ridiculous, as did the stock landing gear, which I also replaced. If anyone is interested I could start a thread and detail a few of the scale mods I've done on it, and how to do them. And if anyone is looking at it as an RC model, it truely flies like a big trainer. On low, slow passes it really looks the part!

Thanks guys! It's really nice that the size worked out where I could use it for both hobbies.

This is a customized Clarence E. "Bud" Anderson's "Old Crow" P-51D I bought a while back. The only additional modification I did was to add the second "Old Crow" to the starboard side. I still need to weather that side. The guy that did the mods originally is a master modeller. I was more than satisfied with the acquisition.

I was real lucky to get this one. I consider it one of my finest models. I will try and post a couple more photos when I get a chance.

I'm going to take comparison photos of the original P-51 "Old Crow" model and the modified one. The detail is not to the extent that other members go (ie: A-10Loader) however it is worthy of showing.
