Hi all-
A few weeks ago, I broke out a Power Team Elite (PTE) motorcycle with sidecar thinking, this would make a nice Afrikakorps zundapp.
Attaching a fuel tank and replacing the machine gun, I came up with this:
I then decided I would try repainting in Afrikakorps tan. What a mess! After painting on a cold overcast day, I dropped the side car in the grass completely ruining the paint job. I ended up sanding it down and repainting once again. Adding some silver highlights and dry brushing, the final result didn't come out too bad:
Used for a background prop:
I must say that while the figures made by PTE are pretty bad, the vehicles and accessories really have a lot of potential. This being an example of one.
Comments welcome.

Great photos!
The PTE bike is a good stand-in, but you really need to bug Pickelhaube for one of his German sidecar kits. I'm not sure whether he is making that anymore, but it was a great little kit, allowing one to build an accurate sidecar which could then attach to the German Motorcycle from the Hasbro Indiana Jones toyline. He even made accurate spoked wheels for the bike and side car to replace the solid Hasbro ones.
Here's a picture of the one I made from Pickelhaube's kit:

Thanks Tman. Now there's an awesome bike! I had considered using the Indy German motorcycle but honestly did not want to start modding/painting as I like the original. That kit looks great though and I really like the color. The figures are equally nice.tmanthegreat wrote:Here's a picture of the one I made from Pickelhaube's kit:

This custom as well as all of my others is on hold for now.
But here is how the Indy bike looks with a wheel swap out.
Here is a full build with additional mod on the Indy bike.

Very nice! The wheels look great and I love the added details like the machine gun. Your finished bike is awesome.
