Someone said something abour german paras. I have recently constructed three fully articulated fallsh's. Using molded torsos, pelvises, and boots: using the thigh to knee joints from leftover DAK figures as well as rolled up sleeve arms.( I got the molded parts from Medium P)drilling into the torsos where the shoulder joints and the thighs would peg into the legs, I scored a perfect fit using a 5/32 bit. The existing pegs on the arms and lower legs joined perfectly giving me full range of motion. The boots were tricky seeing as how I had to remove the pegs from the DAK boots and glue those on to the molded para boots. best results came from drilling a little into the boots before glueing to give best side to side strength with the pegs. Hip joints were the hardest and still a bug exists that will somehow get worked out in the future. Arms were easy with full range of motion. Head was easy. Waist was the same process of drilling and using extra arm pegs to connect waist to pelvis as well as hips to pelvis. Taking pegs consists of carefull cutting and steady glueing. I will eventually have pics but right now i dont.I experimented with flyboys helmet cutting technique with success on one particular BOB german helmet which I am going to have Medium P clone/cast in surplus. Medium P's molds were clean with virtually no air pockets. true to form.

You should work out a deal with one of the casters on the board, you could make a tidy profit on these.

Awesome work......

When do you think they will be available?

Also, could you do some hands or arms that would hold the steering wheel or at least be a little closer?

And in addition to some fallshirmjagers, I would also like to request a British infantryman.

I'm making a G.I driver by now, soon I'll post him on the forum.

I'm pretty sure the British tanker and infantry are necessity, coz I'm waiting the Firefly kits form pickelhaube, and someone doing Matilda tank.

Without the rear deck.

The driver is most necessary for vehicles, starting a piece of clay then roughly have the torso shape with left leg, that I’m planning to fit to Dodge truck but the seat is tight (not easy for driver), so I’m planning one leg in, that the other is from the right.
Again, once the set up has confirmed then go through the details.
Image

Make the super rough right leg, it’s better to make sure the size is about 70% correct; I used knife to reduce the volume and shape of clay, following the left leg to check all the details.
Image

I’ve re-judge the seat and steering wheel, which moved back the seat back and touch the fence to give a bit of space for driver, the next seat had fixed. While the right leg detail has done, then put it in the oven to bake it.

Fantastic custom figures,plasticboy.

You have a great talent, and I am sure that the 1/18 armour crowd are lining up for some of your lifelike figures.

Have you thought about doing 1/18 pilots?Always the weak link in aircraft.
