Mike
When can we expect to see the new WWII and modern figures that you said would be out by the end of summer?

Mike,

I just want to thank you and BBI for coming out with a Hellcat. Now if you could only tell me what the "bad news" is that everyone seems to be talking about regaurding the Hellcat. Thanks again though because with the Hellcat news you made my weekend.

TRU

Post by EnemyAce » Mon Oct 16, 2006 3:27 pm

I am writing about seeling your products through TRU. 21st century once sold their products there, but ended their relationship with TRU after TRU was pressured by activists to stop carrying german military items. I also believe that is why you currently do not offer any german WW2 stuff at TRU. I wanted to point at that TRU was bought by a new company recently and also has a new president since they put their "no german" policy in place, and it may be worth your while approaching them about carrying some german items once again. German stuff is a big seller.

Best of luck, and how about some Market Garden Brit Paras, or Ivans?

Mike, not sure you saw the post in the other thread. You said the Hellcat was going to be shipped next year because you guys were so busy. Totally understand and appreciate that. What exactly is it that's keeping you guys so busy? More 1:18th items I hope? :D

Mike, a while back I suggested BBI should try 'The Warehouse' retail chain in NZ. Well, I was just there doing some Xmas shopping and I almost feinted when I came across the BBI Warriors of the world. I bought a stack and will be back for more. I hope this is the precursor to more BBI lines being sold there? I'll be beside myself if that happens, the 1/18 WW2 and modern stuff will sell well here.

I haven't checked this thread very often, so forgive me if these subjects have already been suggested.

How about a UH-1N?

I think the Army and Air Force have had pretty good coverage so far. Let's see a Navy/Marine Corps helo for a change. Come to think of it, an SH-60 retool of the UH-60 airframe would be kick ass too.

Keeping with the Marine Corps theme, an AV-8B Harrier II would also be a nice addition to your product line up.

Thanks,

Scott

Mike, any chance of getting Target to carry the WWII line? TRU has bbi down to one or two pegs for the figures, less than 2 half shelves for the planes & tank-it's PITIFUL there! Target carries FOV's 1/32 line, it would be GREAT to see them carry bbi's 1:18 WWII line!

Hi,
While I cant divulge the culprit who commissioned it, I think we'll be stocking it. I'll see if I can wrangle up pricing, images and date of availability, if you're interested.

It's been about a month and a half since we've last had a response from Mike @ bbi via aferguson here (Sept 29 was the last).

aferguson have you had any contact with Mike since then? I'm sure he's busy (this is a very busy season for the toy industry between getting product in stores for Christmas and ramping up for Toy Fair in Feb.)

It'd sure be nice to hear something. From our standpoint we don't know if Mike is just busy, or he's been sick or no longer with bbi or what.

Thanks for any light you can shed here.

Jeff

I don't think that I, at all, implied that you were in any way holding out any bbi info on us. If I did that was certainly not my intention.

I was simply curious if you had any info regarding the reason behind Mike's lengthy absence. As I stated in my post the reasons could be many up to and including Mike's health and/or position with bbi.

Mike, yeah I own one of the F-16, nice model, but it is missing one of the JDAM. I have contacted Bluebox toys about getting a replacement and was told there is nothing that can be done because you don't provide replacement parts. So why do you have a replacement form on the web page if you don't provide replacement parts...is it suppose to be a joke or something. I have been a loyal customer of BBI for a long time and have numerous of your items....so where is the customer service at this company?
