Post by Helo Driver » Tue Aug 08, 2006 10:43 am

Dear Mike,

Please update us with information on when we can expect to see the f-16's again, and where will we be able to buy them. Also, why such a long delay in their production?

Well mike i can't wait to see the site updated with new product? will the combat command section also be updated?

i believe that shadow 83 was refering to the new littlebird with the seats on the side and new figure seen here:
http://photos.superherotimes.com/showph ... 6&cat=1335

If that is a hint for British figs that would be awesome!!! i am a modern collector but had to buy your WWII figs and if you were to do some brits i would have to get some!! (although some modern ones would be cool too :) )

Just caught my mistake... I meant Fall Toy Fair 2005 and the "tentative plans" for Fall of 2006....

Maybe that would be easier to answer....

Thanks for your previous response though.

G'day Mike

First up let me say that it is great to be able to have this access to you and your company, and thank you for your excellent product in both the 1:18th and 1:6th scales.

I recently obtained one of the limited edition 75 Sqn RAAF Hornets and I must say that for the most I am very happy with the beast.

However my bird has some minor faults, key of these is that both the left and right LEX navigation light lenses (red and green) are missing. There is no glue residue in either socket and neither lens was found to be loose in the box, so I guess this one just missed out getting them installed on the production line.

I have raised a claim via the form on the web site but I thought I'd also make a note of the problem here just in case.

One other minor issue I have is that the lower edges of the main canopy rails on both sides is missing quite a bit of paint and this reveals a significant amount of the clear plastic beneath making the canopy look very ill fitted when closed. This issue was not raised on the form as it only since I have had time to have a closer look (code for play with) that I have noticed this blemish.

As I wish also to do some detailing mods on my bird I would like to know if you have any paint colour details for that used on both the upper and lower surfaces of the Hornet models. Armed with this information I may even be able to fix my own canopy frames.

Once again thank you for the effort you put in and any assistance that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with only one side of the canopy being painted. The original S1 US release is the one with the canopy paint flaw. My other Bad Cat Red Devils is fine. Maybe there are many people out there with the paint missing on the canopy?

My "Golden Dragons" F-18 is not missing any canopy paint in the area specified. Although that paintscheme is the first for the BBI F-18, I'm not sure whether or not mine is from the first batch or a re-release, since I purchased it from a boardmember. The canopy does not close or lock all the way, leaving a little gap. That is standard on the BBI F-18, however.

G'day tmanthegreat

You are quite correct in your observation that the canopy in the closed position is not the best of fits (something I'd like to rectify) but on my bird the missing paint tends to just extenuate the issue somewhat. Don’t get me wrong as it’s not a lot of paint that is missing but just enough to be noticeable.

Parts... might be impossible but why not.

Post by MiG29K » Thu Aug 17, 2006 8:35 am

Mike,

I mysteriously lost a pylon with a sparrow missile connected to it off my F-16. No clue where it is, tore up the entire house short of the complex, swimming pool, laundry area and the Safeway Across the street. So as far as I'm concerned in NO longer physically exists. Any slim 1:1,000,000,000,000th possibility of being able to obtain another one. If necessary I will BUY it. Or know of anyone who hawks out random bbi parts?

Thank you.

When can we expect to see the new 1/18 figures? You had previously stated that we would see them by the end of summer and with only a couple weeks left i was wondering if that was still the case.

Can you at least confirm/deny if these are Modern or WWII,that any maybe BRITISH too?

Also whilst talking British. Is there any chance we may see BBI bring out something Armour/Recce vehicle wise for Modern British?
Also same question concerning WWII British too.

Thank`s

Hi Mike,

Will the F-16 ever be produced with the markings of another country? Dutch, Israeli, Belgian?

I think silence from Mike is a good thing. Usually when he pops on he has good news or information. I expect we will hear from him again soon. Fall is coming and I think BBI still has a thing or two to show us. They are the most secretive of the manufacturers.
