Not a problem! It seems to have worked for you, and I like the photo of the Marines in the Higgins boat 8)

Do you know how big the pic you want to use is (i.e., height & width in pixels plus file size)? You may be exceeding the allowable size.

It was quite large 640 x 656.
I resized it to 120 x 90 (like Tman's) and uploaded the pic to image shack and photobook.
Look at my signature in this post and see if you can tell what the problem is.
Any help is greatly appreciated it.

I'm assuming the original pic was not distorted vertically. If so, it looks to me that when you changed the dimensions to 120x90, you didn't maintain the ratios and the image was stretched to fit the new aspect.

I resize most of my pics in good ol' MS Paint. When I open the image, I click Resize and in the box that appears, I check the box that says "Maintain Aspect Ratio", make sure Percentage, not Pixels, is selected, and then enter in the Horizontal box some number equaling the percentage I want to shrink it down. For example, I enter 50 for 50%.

According to what is says under Edit Avatar, the max width for an image is 150 pixels. If your original is 300 pixels, then entering 50 will knock it down for you. The height of the image will automatically keep the proper ratio, although depending on the image this may make it unsuitable. If your original was very large, say 4000x3000 like my wife's FujiFilm XP takes, then entering 3 would take it to 120 pixels for me. You can't enter decimals so I can't enter 3.75, which would give me 150. Entering 4 makes 160 which is still too big. Basically, divide 150 by the original's width and then x100 to get your percent. Round up or down to get a number that hits the 150 target.

DO NOT attempt to do the reverse to enlarge it; your pic will become pixelated, like watching a non-HD show on an HD TV.

As long as the image is 150 pixels wide or less AND 250 pixels high or less you should be golden.

Let me know if that helps.

When I attempt to upload an image from my imageshack account I get a message stating "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of this image". Does anyone have a solution?
