I think the more important question is: Of the audience targeted by this poster, how many of them are going to recognize that the aircraft is a P-51D (and the greatest US fighterplane of WWII) at all?
Sort of reminds me of an old CSU Fresno (Fresno State) Bulldogs football team poster I found once that had a couple of the star players from 1986 standing next to a then-locally-based California ANG F-4 Phantom
