Thanks for posting the great photo, Grunt!
I recall that this huge flyover of Tokyo Bay was specially ordered by MacArthur to occur following the signing of the surrender documents. Along with the swarm of Navy planes, there were also B-29s and other USAAF aircraft. Plus as much of the U.S. fleet that they could squeeze into Tokyo Bay.
