This is not at all a surprise. I have spent alot of time in Singapore and the official language of the country is English. Another interesting fact is the arm forces there really are the opposite of the term 'week-end warriors'. Every Friday afternoon, you would see most of military personnel riding the metro back into the city/island since the majority of them have the weekend off! Got to love Asia!

I think it's cool that they have 4 Swedish
built Sjoormen high performance diesel submarines. Not a bad sub force for a small nation.
