My 5 best are: Saving Private Ryan, Great Escape, Stalag 17, Longest Day and Kelly's Heroes.

my top 5 saving private ryan band of brothers black hawk down zero dark thirty act of valor and a few more red tails the pacific (was ok to much love scenes for me not enough action) flags of our fathers Memphis belle just enough for now

Dannyc: Blackhawk Down was a great movie as was Memphis Belle. Other great WWII movies were 12 O'clock High and Patton. Rommel, the Desert Rat was also good.

Good choices but I would have "The Battle of Britain" and "The Blue Max" up near the top.

Black Hawk Down; 9th Company; Platoon; Das Boot; Kelly's Heroes; Band of Brothers (not technically a movie, but still deserves a mention).
