I think I've got 80017. I can't remember what the tac number is on FOV's version, but I think it is "811", which it is hard to tell if this real pic is "811" or "814", so this could possibly make it a match:

EDIT: looked at my copy at home, number is "451" on FOV's version so I guess the search continues...

[+] FoV StuG III Ausf.G "Eastern Front 1943" # 81306

Post by MG-42 » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:08 am

* I can't find an accurate photo on that particular StüG w/ tactical # 223 by FoV but there is a color plate of it in the Squadron/Signal publication on StuGs and the camo is winter white/wash w/ the green oblong diamond shaped pattern. Similar but the opposite of the FoV one , which leads me to think that the camo scheme chosen for FoV # 81306 is inaccurate.

That's a nice picture. Glad you have that stug. I was gonna get that, but I already have the ardennes version and the eastern front version so I couldn't convince myself to get a third version.

I believe this is the model unit for the FOV Panther S1 #332
This is an obvious G model with very similar numbering style.
It is expected that 332 would not have the steel road wheels.
24th panzer regiment, attached to the 116th panzer division

I know this thread is all about vehicles, but I couldn't help throwing in a couple aircraft:

FOV P-39 (S1 version):
Image

P-39Q of Lt.Col. Edward S. Chickering, commander of the 357th Fighter Group, Hamilton Field California, July 1943:
Image

FOV Spitfire Mk IX:
While there has been several versions of this tooling, the one I have replicates this aircraft (in foreground). from 241 Squadron, pilot RH Cogman, Italy 1944. (ID code RZ*R).

I couldn't find a decent picture of this particular FOV model...

Can anybody find a picture of this tiger. I'm having a lot of trouble, since there is no tactical numbers and FOV did not give any division markings or unit info. My wild guess is that it is a GD division tiger in 1944.
