that? with the avengers? I have a bad habit of picking up old plywood and 2x4s from housing remodeling when seen on the curb or in rental bins. I just put an avenger on a square piece and figured out how to go up from there. Seriously, when my daughter asked during one of these evenings in the basement if I could build her a dollhouse, I had to tell her I couldn't. I just screw it together so I can add another shelf or two if nec-

BUT, THIS THREAD IS FOR EVERYONE ELSE'S PICS - WE GOTTA DO THIS EVERY COUPLE OF YEARS..

Impressive collection!
I don't have that many, but I do have a favorite.

Tambo, Great collection!!! I've always liked the yellow nosed Stuka with Scotty dog...thats one I missed when they were out.
If you ever need to thin out the armor portion of the collection to make room for more aircraft, let me know.

I moved the stukas around and made a place for the avengers; thank goodness for scrap wood and recycled display screws.

I gotta do the tambo/driveway thing too on a saturday with plenty of spare hours and no breaking landing gear

There's actually something rather pretty about that picture... Kind of funny to think they're just toys given how realistic they look

you guys' collections are incredible. I love seing them displayed like that.

Mikeg, do you have anyone patrolling the woods back there? You never know when some back woods XD thieves might try to do a little poaching.
....Looks like they might have already pushed down the chain link.

no XD weasels, just an old tree on occasion. the cemetary next door opened for bidness in the 1860s, got popular from the 1880s and up to about 1 a year or so now. whenever a tree fall outside the fence, suddenly there are no surviving decendents, insurance company, or deed of any sort to be found....really it's just easier to cut the tree up yourself, buy some more fence pieces at home depot/lowes and luckily not have to deal with any real property damage.

I thought that might have been a cemetary in the background. At least it's probably nice and quiet.

mikeg : Those outdoor shots of your collection are great!

I've now got about the same quantity of 1/18 planes, but looking at the models you have there are about 20 of yours that I still don't have, so your pictures are like a photographic check list of what i've still got to get!

All the best!
Sam

I got some more scrap wood from a home remodeling job nearby and decided to 9 or so planes wheels down instead of laying flat against the wall - you'll come up with something with enough wood and a jigsaw. I'm gonna paint them too- I've got several small containers of white paint- I just use whatever one I dig out first.

mikeg, you and Tambo have a couple of the most amazing displays of aircraft and armor , I can't imagine how long it takes to take them outside then put them back up, if I took mine outside I'm sure I would hear the door lock behind me and see the wife smiling through the window

Super nice collections guys 8)
