HMS Hood Site

Post by Teamski » Wed Aug 17, 2005 2:26 am

Hey guys,

I've been working on a 1:400 scale card model of the HMS Hood and I found this site on the ship that is top notch. The computer generated illustrations are incredible. It also features a ton of links to other RN ship sites. All are excellent resources on the subject and have some great photos and stories of those who lost their lives in action with the enemy. Check 'em out!

Aren't two guns that were removed from the HMS Hood before it was sunk displayed overlooking a port on some UK-governed island? Sort of like the ship still keeps a viligance over the remnants of the British Empire.

Great website on the Hood. Thanks for sharing. Brings to mind the movie "Sink The Bismarck" with Kenneth Moore and Dana Wynter.
