Russia's War

Post by ostketten » Sat Apr 10, 2010 5:52 am

Just picked up the 3 DVD set of the 1997 PBS documentary "Russia's War: Blood Upon The Snow". I had this back in the day on 5 VHS tapes and have been waiting for it to come out on DVD at a decent price. Picked it up from an Amazon marketplace seller, brand new sealed set for just a tad over $20 delivered. 3 disks, 10 episodes, and over 520 minutes runtime, this series IMO is among the best documentaries ever produced on the Soviet-German war, and I highly recommend it to Eastern Front fans.

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

Thanks ostketten.

And thanks for the link Stug45.

Am downloading now. :D

Should be good.I really like "extended" shows on the Eastern Front.Gives you a real sense of the scale of the front.

Looking forward to watching this. :?

I think you will enjoy it Jack, despite the fact that it has been around for a while it's still one of the best documentaries that is focused on the Soviet-German war IMO. Once you've had a chance to view an episode or two, let us know what you think...

I have watched four episodes so far,and I am very impressed.

A real in depth look at Russia, before and during the war.

Shows you Stalins paranoia, and the total brutality of the Russian front.

Highly recommended.

Thanks Scott! :D
