1/18 T34 Handmade (Ebay)

Post by skorzeny » Wed Dec 26, 2012 4:10 pm

Item condition:Used
Time left: 4d 18h (Dec 31, 2012 09:35:07 PST)
Starting bid:US $100.00 [ 0 bids ]

Shipping: $15.00 Standard Shipping
This is a handmade 1/18th scale Sd. Kfz 234/2 Puma German military vehicle, it will work with Ultimate Soldier style figures and your other vehicles of 1/18th scale. This is a one of a kind as I do not know if I will ever make another as it was very time consuming. This is not factory perfect as I make these from scratch, no molds. This auction is for the Puma only, the figures and other vehicle are not for sale in this auction.
International bidders feel free to bid but realize shipping will be a bit higher.

The same seller now has a Wirbelwind and lists:-
"Is for sale locally so I hold the right to end the auction if sales local"
Maybe he sold it off ebay.

1/18 German Jagdpanzer V
Price:US $130.00 Buy It Now
Shipping: $9.18 Economy Shipping

Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing.

1/18 German Jagdpanzer V for use with your other Ultimate Soldier figures and vehicles. This is a handmade Jagdpanzer V, is the only one I have made, it is not made from a mold, all pieces are hand cut and assembled from plastic. This is not factory made so is not totally perfect. Tracks turn, gun elevates. If need more anti armor for your display this will help fill the gap. Is for sale locally so I hold the right to end the auction if sales local. International bidders feel free to bid but shipping will be more. Figures and kubelwagon in picture are for display only, this auction is only for the Jagdpanzer V.

Thanks for looking.

They would make great toys for the kiddos, if it weren't so much!
A helicopter does not want to fly, it just vibrates so much that the ground rejects it

This makes me rub my face....
Ill be the first to say no custom or store bought model is 100% correct..

That said, if your going to go to all the trouble to make something why not at least use the right chassis?

I dont get it...

I wouldn't take them for a dollar. I have standards, even for a kid's toy. And I would not allow my kids to be seen playing with them. I'm serious. I can't have people coming over and seeing those when they already know about my "real" planes.

1/18 German Sdkfz 8 (88) handmade miltary vehicle for Ultimate Soldier
Item condition:Used
“Handmade vehicle for 1/18th figures”
Time left: 2d 21h (Jan 13, 2013 17:17:52 PST)

Starting bid:US $200.00

Shipping: $9.18 Economy Shipping

1/18 German Sdkfz 8 (with Mounted 8.8 flak gun) Military vehicle for your Ultimate Soldier figures, this is a plastic handmade Sdkfz 8, the 88 is handmade, and so is the Sdkhz heavy hauler, it is handmade so not factory perfect, it took me a long time on this one, so I do not see myself building another, or letting it go easily. I believe this is only one that may exist in this size, as I have never seen another, if someone knows of another in this size please let me know, I would like to see it. This is not a toy, is for the serious collector, tracks turn, wheels turn, gun rotates and elevates. The figures are for display only, this auction is only for the vehicle. International bidders are welcome but understand shipping it to you will be higher. I have the right to end this auction early, as I have it for sale locally. Bid to win as I do not think this one will last long. Thanks for looking and good luck.

I love how he keeps seeming to think that somehow because these pieces are big, they are somehow not toys and are for "the serious collector". The "serious collector" would not want these because they are toy-like. A "serious collector" is the guy who shells out $200 for a rare 21C bird, or a Pickelhaube, or a JnewBoy, or something along those lines. When I look at what this guy is selling, I imagine that up close they are made of that cheap, flexible plastic most other kids' toys are made from.

Maybe I take my collection too seriously, as I like to have as much accuracy as possible since for me these are examples of historical importance and I want people to see "the real thing" as it were. I am the same way with my VW collection - I only collect models that are accurate in detail. All of my 1/87 buses represent ACTUAL vehicles that were seen on the street. I don't collect Hot Wheel/Jada Toys/early Johnny Lightning VWs as they have too many inaccuracies. The most toy-like VW I own is the 1/18 Schwimmwagen I got from mikeg which was for my daughter's Barbie collection (I bought her a 12" Joe to act as security around the Playhouse - and because Ken is a Metrosexual).

Are these positively 1/18 scale? if you look at the men they almost look like the non-posible 1/32 figures. Just a passing thought......

The 1/32 figures don't have articulation points.

OK. I have not had any of the 1/32 figures. These just looked different to me for some reason.

The Puma looks pretty good to me. The 222 armor car may not be very desirable because Pickelhaube has a perfect kit. For $100 already built and painted,it can help fill the gaps on my German Army. The jagdpanther and the wirbelwind are too inaccurate for my taste.
I never been a fan of the 88 Famo, but i would like to have a regular Famo even if is not accurate. I have the Indiana Jones German truck which is inaccurate, but it still looks good so i figured there is a acceptable level of inaccuracy on a model as long the price is wright.

I've grown to like this body of work. The vehicles are cleanly built and well put together. I don't understand the use of what looks like PTE tank bottom for the Jagd when he could have used a Panther. Regardless, a lot of work went into these and given the source material they turned out well enough.

I agree with grunt, the guy is doing the best he can and enjoying it,they are not great paint jobs or super accuracy but he is building and painting, thats how you learn.

I agree with Zelda and Grunt. This "modeler" has done some not bad models. I would just not pay anywhere near he is asking for these models. Scale is off and he is using what he has for lower hulls even if they are wrong.

I can look at : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... NA:US:1120
and see correct scale. Now that is correct scale, OK, so it is 1/6 and will end up selling for in the mid thousands but proportions are correct, not this 1/18 "modeler".

I agree. I can appreciate the work it takes to make something as I am always making stuff. When I started doing customs they were not great but I never tried to make anything that I could not at least get close on. I get it, I get that he wants to make stuff like the Wirbelwind but why not use the right chassis that is made in 1/18 already??? The work sorta reminds me of the old Battle of the Bulge movie when they painted up and called King Tigers.
