pegasus has been working on a kit for over a year and they are still working out some of the kinks. just keep checking their site.

oh i didn't realize they were still pursuing a kit. What 'kinks' could there be? They have the built up version already, all they need to is put it in a box, unbuilt.

I don't think the first production run sold all that well, which is why i thought they had dropped the kit.

I'd still prefer to get a built up one though if i can.

ah, very helpful thanks. So it's the paint job that is the issue, or in the case of the kit the mask for it. Well the kit is a good alternative but i would prefer a prefab due to laziness....lol.

Sure sounds like we're getting a Komet from Pegasus soon. :)

btw, i like how the fighting 118th has a picture of a 1/16 KV-1 as their site banner. Shows the hard times 1/18 have fallen into...lol. Great pic though, love the winter russians.

i just read the whole thread. A 1/18 X-15 would be awesome. If Pegasus wants to have better sales, they need to get themselves into more retailers and especially etailers. I can hardly find the Bell X-1 anywhere online to order. They should probably do another run of prebuilt Gee Bee's too. They make good stuff, but their marketing seems to be lacking. They also need to make sure that little gaffs like the Glamourous Glennis decal issue don't happen....the lack of that marking is going to be a big deal to many collectors who might otherwise have been interested in this plane.

I wonder if we are any closer to this. Anyone heard anything?
I would love to get this racer as a kit. I want to build a few funky JTR salt flat racers and this would be perfect with big 4WD wheels on it.

Kinda busy at work; don't have time to read another forum. Did I catch that these folks are thinking about doing an X-15??? Can someone confirm that?
