Dropping the Scale: 1/18 For Sale, Authentic Models

Post by Coreyeagle48 » Fri Jan 02, 2009 3:23 pm

Greetings:

I've been debating this for most of December and have decided to drop this scale as part of my collection. The collecting just is not as fun as it used to be and I suppose once we get older we focus on other things. I collect many scales and many pieces and I also just don't have the room or desire to collect and store this scale anymore. I also find that this collecting sometimes makes me a person I don't like to be, and I don't like that either. I will continue to collect but focus on smaller scales and more unique items.

Condition is described for each piece. I'll start with the never removed from box ones as they are the easiest and go from there. All prices include shipping charges unless it'd be very far away then it may be a few extra bucks.

My Blue Angels Hornet is NOT for Sale, that one I'm saving :) I also have a Blue Angels Hellcat preordered from Airstrike I'm keeping as well

Mint in Box, never opened

F-104 Starfighter (USAF) Shooting Star on Tail $55

F-104 Starfighter (German) $50

P-47 Thunderbolt Razorback (Yellow/Black Checkertail, Has Nose Art, canopy slots Version 1C) $70

Mint, Have Box, But Have Been on Display

F6F Hellcat (Cat Mouth) $45

F-104 Starfighter (Candian Tiger Meet) $45

BBI P-51 Mustang (Donald Duck) $45

Pearl Harbor P-40 (Welch) $50

Pearl Harbor Zero $100

BBI F4U Corsair (Daisy June w/rocket set) $45

Without Box, Repaired, Etc

Read Description on all these models!

NKK Spitfire (excellent, no box) $75

Me-109G (Seeman) (glued barometer, rudder, control surfaces, no box)
$30

F-16 Falcon (two tone gray/no unit markings, original Badcat version, missing front nose radar antenna/barometer, has some scracthes and if it had a ladder is missing that, i do have the box) $70

F-18 Hornet (Golden Dragons) (missing cockpit ladder, otherwise complete) (no box) $100

Admiral F-86 Sabre (Jolly Rogers) (Some scratches, glued barometer, F-104 pilot instead of original) (have box) $30

Authentic Models

2 Curtiss Jennys, one in American barnstormer colors and one in British Colors (both in excellent condition) 31 inch wingspan. Models can be taken apart for shipping $125 each

I also have 2 Spads (33 inch wingspan) a Sopwith Camel (29 inch wingspan and a Fokker Triplane (36 inch wingspan). These would be extremely expensive to ship and I want fair value for them, but if anyone is interested I will discuss it.

***Anyone who could pick these up I'd give generous discount to, or I couyld meet you within a certain distance

PM if interested

Thanks

Corey

Man, I feel the pang of regret in your future, Corey. That said, I know you are strapped....

Guess you're not going to do the A-10 repaint then? I was looking forward to seeing that one finished. Hope it all turns out well for you.

Has Corey replied to anyone yet?

It's been a week and I have not heard anything from him in regards to this thread.

* I had sent him 3 PM's last week , and all 3 were deleted.

........ so I sent him another one , and it's still there in the (Outgoing box) like it's in limbo or something. ... It's not even been looked @ yet .

......... and he continues to post like it's no big deal.

............. Corey ? ... if you've decided not to sell your stuff , please have the courtesy to let us all interested , know .

.................. Still wondering here ? ? ?

You're right Mitch mine shows read as well. I wonder if his PM's are just screwed up. I heard they act funny after it gets full. I have never had that happen to me.

*edit*
Scratch that. Mine was deleted as well. Not even in my sent items. Odd... Anyway, Corey e-mail me if you are interested in selling that PH-Zero. Of course only if someone else hasn’t spoken for it first.

None here as well. I think you should reply to those that have sent you PM's for the items you have for sale. I think it is very discourteous on your part to just ignore all of us who replied to your post.

* He continues to lurk and post , even in here , like it never happened.

* I think maybe a TRADE ADVISORY NOTICE is in order here. I don't know.

I agree with you 100% MG. I just got a pm from another board member advising of his practice of not responding to PM's in the past, so this isn't the first time this has happened.
