Yes - the postage stings me...I've got to consider the postal charges then still pay import tax when the parcels arrive in the UK
It's not a cheap hobby colleting 1/18 in a country where there's only ever about two models a month up for auction on e-bay UK...hence why your sale prices work for me.....

So thanks very much for enabling me to fill FOUR gaps in my collection in less than a week!

Matthew as far as shipping boxes you might consider U-Line. I used to make boxes from 12x12x12's by putting 2 together then filling the dead space with foam peanuts but was very time consuming as I would hot glue the boxes to insure nice and snug. I started just using U-Line 10x10x30 boxes and the standard 21st planes (with exception of the larger boxed 262B, Avengers, etc.) fit perfectly with only about 3" of dead space at the top for peanuts. Have shipped around a 100 all over the world and haven't had one yet arrive damaged (knock on wood!!). Kinda pricey though, about $60 for a pack of 25 which includes shipping but when weigh the price of packing material (if you buy packing) and mainly the time involved, to me it's worth it. You can get them that close end to end or longways.
