WTB - Looking for the 1st Edition Pappy Boyington corsair

Post by ExC17load » Fri Sep 17, 2010 9:16 am

I have the one from JSI, but am looking for the original. Does anyone have one they are willing to part ways with? Please let me know. If not, thats ok too.

Its not a problem, I understand and know it is fairly rare. I can say to myself that I have the complete collection of corsairs because I have the JSI one, but it's not quite true. If I never find it, its ok.

About 3 years ago I had one and sold it on eBay. A bidding war began and the dang thing sold for nearly $600 to some guy from France. It was a bad cat toys edition with the stamp on the box. I couldn’t believe it went for that.

I’ll keep my eyes out for you on Craigslist and such. You might be able to get one through there or here. I wonder what they are going for theses days. No where near that price i'm sure.

I have one loose on display now and one still in the box. Really haven't thought about selling them, but I suppose if board members could come up wth a concensus as to what a fair and equitable price should be for either, I would take it under consideration. I do not want to mess with the eBay stuff as I'm getting too old to play their games.

Thanks. I wish I could afford that price, but that is a lot more than I can afford to spend, nor try and justify to the wife LOL.

I appreciate all the board members trying to help me out. Thanks everyone!

I just completed my end for one off Ebay ($110.00 with Free Shipping :D ). I am not familiar with the Bad Cat Stamp, what will it be? A paper stamp on the box or an ink Stamp?

The Bad Cat stamp (I may have a photo of it someplace) is nothing more than a gold starburst sticker that says Bad Cat Toys exclusive with the year on it. May have been 2004/05. I’m not sure on the date. It would be located on the face of the box.
