New 21C 32X at Wal-Mart

Post by Just1more » Fri Feb 04, 2005 6:06 pm

I found the M113A2 Armored Personnel Carrier at Wal-Mart tonight $14.98, it was the only one on the shelf so I'm wondering if maybe they also got the 88 and the others :?

I think I get this now! As you can read in another thread new repaints of 32x aircraft are also coming out. You appear to be in North Carolina - the east coast - and the aircraft seem to be popping up in the west. Another possible example of regional distribution.

Have you already gotten the 32x M113? I got mine from BCA a few weeks ago, and it is one of the best 32x vehicles to date. Its a vast improvement over the 1:18 version.

well...I managed to finally find the 18th scale Kiowa, so now my recon time can be dedicated to finding the 32x M113....lol

Post recon on this item if you manage to find new pieces (including the M113) at Walmart.

Thanks for the heads up.

Super Detail

Post by Just1more » Sat Feb 05, 2005 4:56 am

Yeah I picked it up and even went to 2 other Wal-Marts on the way home to find more, but no luck. I agree it is the best 1:32 vehicle to date. Now all I need is for 21st to release the huey in 32x...

But my real reason for going was to look for the new aircraft, that 262 seems to be way better than the first version and the 109 looks great but no luck hopefully soon, these take up way less space than the 18's and my garage walls are getting kinda full. I need small planes to fill the spaces between my big planes :D

Post by WGP Klaus » Sat Feb 05, 2005 6:19 am

the 32x repaint aircraft will be available at walmart? where the heck have I been? I really must be going senile!

I really need to keep on top of these things if this is the case, I didn't even know the M113 was available, had I known..I'd have ordered a few weeks ago.

Perhaps I should hire a personal shopper to keep on top of these things for me, it's coming to fast and furious for me to keep up with all the new 32/48/18 releases...ouch!! my head hurts :-)

Question concerning Stock Location of the 32X

Post by WGP Klaus » Mon Feb 07, 2005 6:35 am

Question for those of you who have been fortunate enough to find the new 32X and 32XW items. Were the 32x M113's in Kit form located with the other 32x kits? or is 21st boxing this item assembled? Also, where are you find the 32xw aircraft stocked?

Thanks in advance,
Todd

I usually find the Cold Steel (so far, 1st series only) with the diecast cars. I've had to get the rest from BCA, Toy Fed, and Small Blue Planet.

The 32XW I found were along the big wall that runs along the toy department where all of the cheapie toys are on Morse Road.

All of our Wallys here say the same thing, "They're discontinued and we won't be getting anymore in."

I suppose if Wallys carried them, I'd end up buying more of them.

If you're looking for the 1st series Cold Steel, go to the Wallys on Rome-Hilliard Rd. or Georgesville Rd. in Columbus - they're stacked to the rafters and they're full price.

well-stocked here in NE Ohio

Post by Warthog75 » Mon Feb 28, 2005 9:58 am

Oddly enough, I've been able to find all the new 32x and 32xw vehicles here in NE Ohio. Recently, the Wallys up here haven't had any of the new XD items, but almost every single store I've reconned in the last couple of weeks has had some of the Cold Steel and/or XWings. If anyone up here in my neck of the woods needs any, LMK and I'll point you to the right walmarts.

It looks as though all of the 32X in Ohio is going to the "north coast". :D

SW MO has all the new 32XW aircraft so it's not an East or West coast thing...for a change! :D

San Antonio just got all the new Cold Steel goodies today but I noticed that not all the stores in the area get the same thing.

Product Found!

Post by LWP » Mon Mar 07, 2005 11:40 am

I picked up the 88 and Jagdpanther at Walmart in Birmingha, AL this weekend. I also bought a repaint ME109 in 1/32. I believe they were all in 21st Century boxes (at least the ground vehicles were), not Motorworks.
Perhaps this means WalMart will sell a larger portion of the 32X line?

I also saw the M113 on numerouse occasions, and a repaint ME262.

I'm still looking for the P-47 and FW190 in 1/32.
I collect 1/32 WWII.

P-47 & FW190

Post by LWP » Mon Mar 14, 2005 12:23 pm

Thanks for the info. Harry.
I'll quit driving the Wal-mart employees crazy for at least a couple of weeks.

Does anyone know if Walmart is supposed to get any new 32X ground items other than the Jagd, 88 and M113?

I saw the first Cold steel stuff in B'ham in the Fall (Panther in ambush camo, faded OD sherman -no markings, PZII short and the M24?)

Then I picked up a long barrell PZIII tan with Green camo striping.

Now the Jagd, 88 and M113 came out.
I didn't see the Tri color Panther, the sherman with stars and others. at WM though. I thought they came out on other sites when the long barrell PZIII did?
I collect 1/32 WWII.

Wow. I don't even remember the last time I saw a single pack AFV sold at any WM in my AO. They are devoid of any 32x land vehicles now and as far as aircraft, just tons and tons of warhawks and 109's. I hope the new vehicles show up soon! Wow!
