Must be high quality and detail for the price. Looks good in the close ups.

Should be about 2 1/2 feet tall if the 1:72 is 5 feet right?
Hard to say if the Dragon is as detailed, and lunar module is separate purchase.

It is expensive, some of the redeeming features are the quality and detailing, a high degree of metal content etc......

Of course there are "cheaper" option out there, though ironically do make the Bandai rocket look good value?

1x museum quality rocket = 1x $500 = $500
or
10x cheap nasty toys = 10 x $50 = $500

Don't get me wrong its too rich for me !! (and at best part of a metre, its going to be hard to hide) :D

So...I ordered the Wing Kit Collection 12 from Hobby Link Japan. They seem to be the only one who has them now.

There's been a lull in my 1:144 collecting lately, but didn't want to miss all those Kates and Vals that I don't have. Particularly the later version of the Val. I don't have that many Zeroes either as I usually buy F-Toys individually, so I got the whole set.

Also ordered a FOV B-25 from the Flying Mule a while back. It came in with the worst QC I'd seen in years, so returned it and got credit so I ordered the two remaining Hobby Master 1:144's that I wanted, the PB4Y Atlantic scheme Liberator and the Crete Ju-52.
That's about all the 1:144's I want from them. Probably the last 1:144's we'll see from HM, they have a low production number of 400 each so may as well get them now if ever no?

This is a little off topic, but I've seen the 1/300 line F-Toys has put out, and I got the Silver/White Kawasaki C-1, it's actually pretty nice for its scale (very small decals though) has anyone else got any of these, such as the C-130, if so, can I get some pics of it?
I can't find any close up shots showing detail or the of the belly of the aircraft..

I've seen those THP. Can't say as I'll ever go that small though. I did however buy a 1:200 Dragon Flying Wing though recently, the prop version.
1:200 I think is the smallest for me. There's some very large in real life mostly post war jets that only come in that size or smaller.

Thought I'd post some pics on here, sense it looks like there hasn't been much activity here for a while, as you can see I've added a few to the collection...

We need to get you a showcase! My suggestion… Craigslist. If you don't know how to use it:

Ive been able to get a ton of cases on behalf of the museum, and some for myself too. Usually very cheap considering. Hate to see all those models get dusty!

I agree with you warbird, but unfortunately (space) is an issue....
I've got a 8'x4' display case I got a couple years back, but it, itself is collecting dust in in the back of the storage building, so for now...a weekly cleaning, and readjusting will have to do for the models...
Also do to the space issue, I'm thinking of selling some of the 1/18 (grave yard) collection, to possibly clear some space, maybe some in the other scales....

Does anyone have any of the F-Toys B-25's?
Do they all have this problem with the wings, is it a qci, or what?
Also, is there any way to fix it?

Now that you mention it HP, yeah my F-Toys B-25's have too much dihedral going on. Though the desert tan one seems to have a little less.
Don't know how you could fix it. I'd be leery of carving such a tiny plane.

On the other hand the IXO B-25 has no dihedral and the wings even point down.

Nice collection btw. 8)

Hmmm, that's very interesting, well I'll be sure to steer clear of buying an IXO B-25 in the future, and thanks!

Yeah, but really they're not too bad HP. 1:144 is what it is, and you can't be too picky for the size I've learned.
My 1:144 collection is still out and the only one I have much room for at the moment.

Seein's as this old thread has been resurrected.....

Haven't bought much 1:144 lately, but if one comes up for a good deal I'll nab it.

Don't buy much if any Corgi 1:144, but always wanted the C-47 with skiis. "Que Sera Sera" (watch it you'll get that old song in your head  ) came up for under $20 buy it now a couple of weeks back.

First plane to land on Antarctica turns out.
Something about exploration aircraft, or maybe it's "Ice Station Zebra" or "The Thing" thing that's intriguing.

Anyways mostly metal it's quite heavy. I've gotten over not liking painted cockpit and fuselage windows.

Where's this posted for $20 at?
And are the skies got springs, or loose enuf for "in flight presentation"?

That was a one time ebay listing.

Looks to be gear fixed down. It does come with a flight stand. The ski's pivot and droop back when in flight. You could put a dab of non permanent elmers white glue on them to hold them parallel in flight. I like it landed on a white surface myself, sometimes the stand detracts from the model imo.

That's not half bad looking, and yes I did, you can find them $10 on eBay, it's an early B-1B, but I painted it in the early B-1A white..

Kudos for putting one together HP. 8) Think I'd have to go for one already made, but would like to have a silver one in this scale.

I thought that F-Toys has the Mig 21 in silver, but I'd have to check. I bought one of the silver Mig-15's, but haven't put it together yet.

On another note, I got an IL-28 Badger today on Epap's long time ago recommendation. Someone finally listed one for a halfway decent price from Ukraine of all places. Hope they can ship it out before the place goes to hell. :?

Building my 1:144 Cold War collection slowly (very slowly  )

There's one left if anyone's interested.

Ordered a new addition to the collection, now for the patient/not so patient, wait....
Paid the extra on shipping so it would be here sooner, so it shouldn't take TOO long!
