I want that playset too. "Man", I wished I lived in some of those places you guys are finding all these "new" goodies. It always seems that way does'nt it ? I'm on the look-out for that "Winter" version Hanomag. I've got the other 2. If anybody out there "spots" it, please let me know.

If it was at TRU it was probably the FOV Spitfire.

I haven't seen this mentioned yet but I picked up the second wave of FOV 1/72 tanks at Target yesterday.
Tiger, Tiger 2, Challenger and Bradley. The pegs were full.

I saw one of the new FOV 1:32 P-51s at the TRU in Clovis, Ca. yesterday. It was in the markings of Preddy's aircraft, "Cripes a Mighty", though without the specific nose art. It comes with rockets, and two types of drop tanks, plus the standing and sitting figure.

I passed on this as I was not overly impressed and felt the quality of the FOV Spitfires to be superior. The ordinance looked a little toyish and the plane, while shapped and detailed nicely, just looked too much, again, like a toy. For one, the engine was moulded in red and yellow plastic and the blue on the nose was a shade too bright. I know these are the "action" grade, but FOV could do alot better!

Nothing here at WM really new except I was surprised to see the diecast 1:700 scale ships there today. These were the Gearbox Missouri, Indianapolis and Intrepid. All were $17.95 each.

Those ships appeared at a Wal Mart in my AO a few weeks ago. They actually don't look that bad, alot less toyish than they could be. Though if I bought one, I would probably do a little detail painting on the planes, etc. Did you pick one up, Ski? What did you think?

I skipped on them. It was close though. But, after getting the Tamara cross sectional Yamato, they look kinda toyish without the weathering. Now if they looked like the Yamato, I would of gotten them no questions asked.....

Hey y'all; I've got a question... I recently came across a box of new 1/32 planes from 21st buried on the top shelf of one of the local walmarts.
I got the british p-40, black 1 fw, grey-262 and left the others. Of course the next day the p-51, orly 109, and angi p-47 were gone. THE QUESTION IS... WILL YOUR LOCAL WALMART ORDER ANOTHER BOX IF PRESENTED WITH THE SKN/SKU NUMBERS? I am told by the hourly workers that stuff is only ordered when supply is exhausted; would'nt that seem to apply?
I remember some remarks about this on thread a while back, but thought it easier to ask of others experiances.

I was told by a toy manager at one store that they could special order anything I wanted.. But I have found out that if I were patient enough, they would soon restock..

mmmm.... FOV Petie 2nd's have shown up here at TRU. I like it better than the Spitfire. Not my scale, though, hehe.....

thanks hworth18, ya know paitence is certainly a virtue. I must be a veritable saint, considering my neverending quest for marital intimacy, BUT
THIS IS IMPORTANT... I've noticed down here that if you see at the most, two boxes of anything, thats about all you'll see. There's almost always BCA if all else fails. Even then BCA does'nt always get what we see at walmart in what seems to be a reasonable time frame (and I've spent a generous sum of money with BCA and been satisfied).

I think that all the individual plane types will have the same SKU's...
EX: All the P-47s have the SKU: 638748132952

I finally saw some of the 1/32 armor kits, m-113 and flak panzer, mobil wagon--- they seem heavier than the finished offerings, are they cold steel? maybe the box makes them seem heavier and is the paint scheme any different, the picture on the box seems the same- whats the point in making a kit to begin with? there is one walmart here that still has a bunch of the earlier finished models.

The new armor kits are cold steel. The paint schemes are the same as the regular assembled versions. You do save a couple of bucks, though

Unfrotunately, the kits at my Walmarts are the same price as the assembled vehicles. The only advantage to the kits here is that they include the 8-ton halftrack and the Panzer III which i have yet to see assembled.

Found a display at the end of an aisle at Wal Mart that had 60-70 (or more) of the new 1:144 tanks! I've never seen that many 21c produts concentrated in one spot - even if they were only very small tanks. All were there in great quantity: Sherman, Hellcat, Panzer IV, Panther, Tiger and King Tiger. The Sherman, Panther, and Panzer IV are my favorites of the bunch.

Walmart today had the 32x RAF P-40 and others in that series.. No new 32x..
Something new was the Forces of Valor 1/32 individual soldier figures..
