For the first time I was found the Tiger-mouth P-51 at a WM today! I usually found it at TRU no WM.

Found newly stocked silver KI-61 Tonys at the Clovis, CA TRU today :D First I've seen and couldn't resist getting one. They also had two of the 32x RAF P-51Ds.

Another Wal Mart also got in the silver Tonys, which I only discovered after getting one for a little more at TRU.

Nothing else really new or exciting in the smaller scales.

Good news for those of us on the west coast - I found an RAF P-51D and "Red 19" FW-190A8 at Wal Mart today :D I didn't pick up either as I have examples of both planes already, but both were in good shape with near perfect paint schemes. The same store also had the 1:48 Tonys in the silver scheme and three 32x Bf-109Fs.

One of my local TRUs also has a couple RAF Mustangs in stock.

Did some more recon today, found a few more RAF P-51Ds and "Red 19" FW-190s at another Wal Mart in my area.

One Wal Mart further afield had an interesting find: a 1:48 scale Marder III SDK 139! I had not seen that reported or advertised before. It was with a selection of 1:48 Marder IIIMs, which I have seen before at TRU but not Wal Mart. The Marder III sdk 139 was in the same scheme as the 1:32 version. Now to figure out how to give it a crew

A little more long range recon turned up the 1:144 P-47s and more 1:48 Marders. The P-47s are awesome and probably the best 1:144 plane 21c has yet made 8)

Went to the Lone Star Flight Museum this weekend and low and behold they had the 1/32 FW 190 F series, and boy the paint schemes are nice. I picked up the red 9 version.

Well, one of my area Wal Marts sold out of the 32x RAF P-51s and "Red 19 FW-190As that were newly stocked last week. The Bf-109Fs are still sitting there.

Just goes to show you that new products move and last year's restocks do not... So. if Wal Mart and 21c want to make a bit more money, they'll keep the new stuff circulating instead of confining it to one region of the country

I'm still waiting for the Red 19's to surface out here on the East Coast.
I did see some RAF Sharkmouth P-51's at the local TRU.
When are the Double Nothin' P-51's supposed to come out?

BTW: TRU Upped it's prices...
Instead of 1/32 aircraft listing $19.99, they are now $21.99.

Target now carries 21st Century 1/32 stuff under the "4-star" brand, but it has "21st Century Toys" logo on the bottom of the box.

I found these at Target today:

Double Nuthin P-51D
Black 2 Fw-190 F8
Marder III repaint
and new 1/32 playsets but I didn't look too closely at them.

Went across the border again today. Stopped at a Wal Mart, Target, and a TRU.

Here's what I found:
Wal Mart: One Yellow 11 190 and some carded DAK troops.

Target: Three 1/72nd figure sets (Two WWII and one modern), some Zeroes and Sea Hurricanes, some figure/vehicle sets, and a Bravo Force Sherman. Some of the Indy Titanium series vehicles were there too (Rocket Sled, Biplane, flying wing, Mutt's motorcycle, motorcycle with side car, Mk VII tank, and Jungle Cutter). I should have picked a couple of them up. *Bangs head on table*

TRU: Two dragon wagons, P-40's, 262's and Zeroes, 1/72nd figures, 1/18th DAK figs and a Pak 40, 1/144th aircraft packs, 1/48th, Tonys and 109K's BBI Corsair and "Old Crow" Mustang, four Sharkmouth P-51D's and one Yellow 15 Fw-190D9, and those oddball scale 1/4? tanks (Panzer IV 38T, and Marder).

In addition, I bought the BBC's "Secrets of WWII" by Nugus/Martin productions at an FYE store.

Thought #1: I can't wait to find the Chinese infantry! :D

Thought #2: It is a sad day when I get excited over Chinese infantry...

I visited a longtime dry walmart-- (mutherich 109f/g and DAK 109f) --collecting dust for eons only to see the new(er) red19 fw and the ubiquitous RAF P-51d laying atop 'em. Only as I got closer, after several glances, I noticed the P-51 was really a eagle squadron spitfire. The paint lines all matched up so I bought it. Naturally, It had a fingerprint on the side and the canopy will not stay on, but the wheels will stay up, unlike the fw190s.

Spitfire finally showed up today at WM. The box looks like it had been crushed, but the model looked okay so I bought it.. I had too...

Found another batch of Spitfires at the 71st St Walmart in BA. There were 6 of them and it seemed that all had some type of QC issue. I picked the best one out of the bunch for anyone that needs one.
