This is the exact p-40 that I have been questioning whether 21st would ever produce!!
I will have to get my feelers out there!

I found an FOV 1:32 Sherman in the two-tone cammo and an M-16 halftrack in the winter cammo yesterday at Target. Both were action grade, though the halftrack has some decent weathering.

According to another thread in this forum, the Sherman is supposed to be "limited edition" or "rare," however, then one shows up at Target!

Picked up 2 White 7 Fw-190F's at Walmart today. I also found that white halftrack at Target the other day. 8)

Saw over 18 1/48th scale P-40's (all the same) at 1 Walmart. What gives? Guess they won't be re-ordering anytime soon.

Visited a brand new WM today. Just opened this morning. I had visions in my head of all manner of new 21C product.
Alas.
They had 6 1/32 planes (one china P-40 and the rest different versions of the P-51B) and a couple of pegs of the same old 1/18 figures.
That was it. Not even a selection of 1/144 planes or tanks. Nothing.
Sigh...

Picked up a new scheme of the 1/144 Dauntless , and also saw the 1/144 spitfire but it was loose in its box so I passed.

Tell me about it, in the county I live in which is quite small I might ad, they built a new supercenter right on the state line of AR. Been there about a year and a half I guess, as far as 21st century items...NADA, ZERO, ZILCH!!!!!! Not even a place for them...morons!

That is good news! I was worried WM was done with 1/32 armor. Is this the rear or mid mounted gun model?

The rear mounted gun. It came in a "window box" like the new 1/48 planes. The price was 14.74 plus tax. Noticed tags for 1/32 armor at several Walmarts in my AO today. The Plymouth Walmart had the Marder III also.

I found this here in SE MI today, too. Same thing. Marder III in the new window box. I still haven't opened the first one I found in the older box. Now I need to figure which one to open.... :D

Which Marder is this? The early variant?

I had a nice little Wal Mart find today :D

4 Panzer 38Ts in the new window box
3 Aleutians 1:48 P-40s
3 White tail 1:48 P-40s
32x Kursk and Tunisia playsets

I was very surprised to see the Panzer 38Ts, especially after their dismal TRU showing (only one). There's no longer a shortage of them in my area! I picked up an Alueitan P-40 and a Panzer 38. The new window boxes are quite nice, and great for checking for any defects 8)

It's the same one that has been around already with the rear mounted gun. Far as I know the center mount model has not yet shown up. My guess is when it does come it will come in shipments with the Hetzer.

Is 21st rereleasing some of the older 1/32 planes? I was just at a Walmart that put out the "Angie" and Schilling Thunderbolts. Thought it might be old stock but the corner of the box showed the Evie Thunderbolt instead of the Eagleston plane and I believe Schillings plane was only available in a Dogfight set before.

That is correct.. Schillings plane was only with the set.. Sounds like maybe re-releasing stuff like the Zeros I found recently???

Frederick Maryland TRU store on the Golden Mile had the new model (not the IIIm) Marder III, 32X playsets "Kursk" and "Tunisia" and a new paintscheme (S3..??) XD PAK-40 Hanomag.

South Frederick WM store had some XD "Platoon" figures, and a couple of 32X Panzer 38t's.

For those near the Atlanta area:

The Hiram and Dallas WM's have 6 and 3 38T's, respectively. They both have a handful of the new 1/48 planes, but everything else is old news.

BTW, those two stores are less than 5 miles apart.

I saw 4 today at the alpharetta wm; by the way- the east-west connector walmarts (smyrna and austell) are about 3-3.5 miles apart and the older one (smyrna) shows no intention of closing any time soon. I got mine- marder too, at the marietta TRU about 3-4 weeks ago.

All of the Walmarts in the area except the one two blocks from my house have the Pz. 38(T).
Bloomington, Pontiac, Washington, Morton, East Peoria, Illinois.

The Washington, Illinois has the Aleutian and White tail P-40, Bald Eagle and Shangri La P-51.

38ts

Post by rose4472g » Mon Jan 28, 2008 7:56 pm

Found a couple 38t's at TRU in Cerritos, lots of other stuff. The new boxes do look like the 48th aircraft boxes, so look carefully. No Marders though, got my 38t. My more local TRU in Torrance has a few FOVs some 1/18 stuff and shelves of JagdTigers (blech). Walmart is still AWOL although I did see lone 38t at my local WM along with a 109f (white) in a busted up box. It really looks like there is some consperousy here in Southern California to boot 21st stuff from their shelves. I want a Marder so I may need to order one I guess.
