my choices...

Post by binder001 » Mon Jan 17, 2005 2:24 pm

I'd like to see 21C make the previously announced Dodge 6X6 truck, plus the larger GMC 2 1/2 ton 6X6. We really need some US trucks!

You can do all kinds of stuff with the Sherman chassis - a later hull, prefereably with the 76mm turret (I can supply full details on request).

The previously announced M3 Grant would be nice, but especially - use those parts for an M7 "Priest" SP howitzer.

Give the Allies some more stuff - enough Panzers already!

I agree - more allied armor! We could use a British Churchill tank to go with the 32x British troops. I would say a Matilda, but FOV already has one.

Obviously we all agree on Troops! So 21st here is my wish list!

Two sets of Vermacht please, two sets of US minimum! Throw in the heavey weapons sets! We have seen the molds! Vermacht light infantry gun and mortor. Us anti tank gun and mortor teams!

The prime mover is prime for a mounted flakverling! What an easy do! Include a mounted Flak crew! Perhaps an Ammo Trolly?

How about a set ? Prime mover and 8.8 ? While Tanks sell, collectors need it all. This includes an Opel Blitz or a Krupp truck? Kabul wagon anyone?

How about SDKF variants? How easy would it be to do the 251/9? Mount the nebbelwuffer crates on the side and you have another version. or simply mount a flak gun? Radio Rack? You already have the frame do it like they did for real. Easy to bring to market!

On the US side a 76 mm HV Sherman. Another easy hit. You change the barrel? Whos in development over there? Again as stated above the hull is already there, Turn it into an M10, and an M7....... And get here with that CS version of the M18! As others have said the Deuce and 1/2 is a must have, a willies and a WC 3/4 ton? Then you can add a hard top and its an ambulance? Its called bang for the buck 21st! Why dont you have an M3/ M16 variant? Another simple add to an existing platform?

21st century had the markett cornered. There stuff was really the first and most affordable out there. I know they run into problems but hell learn from your past mistakes. I love the M113 Vietnam Vehicel but what the hell goes with it? A whole new line? 21st could have concentrated on one or two scales and simply killed. Instead they branched out all over into to many periods. Conqure WWII Europe first in your 1:32 and 1:18. Dragoon and others dominate the large dolls, and now FOV has come in and scooped up a big piece of your pie? Focus one front at a time. FOV has the lead in Modern let them fight on two fronts. Produce as much crap as King & Country in WWII europe keep it rolling then branch out.

Well sorry guys but I have always wondered why 21st does some of the things it does, great stuff great idea but poor execution. Sorry for the spelling was in a rush!

Great ideas, jrs!!

The two German halftracks can be modified. How about the panzerspawagens? Or those six-wheeled German armored cars?

I even forgot about the deuce and a halfs and the Grant/Lee.

Yes, where are those heavy weapon sets that we saw pics of on GP's site?!

We've seen new tank crewmen for the German tanks so someone is sculpting somewhere. No new crew for the U.S. tanks though.

I like the XD scale but I think that 1/32 is where it's at. Affordable, easy to store and a great scale to game with. I'd even buy into the 48th scale if there was more stuff being made.

Maybe since they're making XD marines and Japanese we might see them in 32X? Could you imagine?!?!

tmanthegreat: The Hobby Bunker in Waltham, Mass. (www.hobbybunker.com) sells a 1:32 Churchill and Cromwell made by a European company (maybe William Britain, but I'm not certain). They are made of a kind of crumbly material and have cast non-moving tracks and wheels, but are fairly realistic. Hobby Bunker also sells a 1:32 British Daimler Scout Car which they'll paint for you for a modest fee. Ask for their print catalogue. They have tons of stuff. P.O.C. is Matt.

B-17 at 1:32? I thin that has more of a shot than any bomber in the 1:18 scale. I wouldn't mind a 1:32 B-26, B-25, B-17, B-24, and even on to things like a F-4 Phantom, A-1 Skyraider, F-18 Hornet, F-22 Raptor, etc.

I agree with many of the suggestions. I would like to see some SP artillery from all nationalities. How about a Priest and a Hummel? What about some Russian assault guns? Wouldn't a Sherman calliope look stunning? More towed artillery would be appreciated; how about a Nebelwerfer unit with the ammo cart! More British armor would be nice but I think the Churchill is overdone in other scales by other companies. Numerically their various cruiser tanks carried the lion's share of the workload and I would like to see them done in 1/32 scale.

wish list

Post by LWP » Wed Mar 02, 2005 7:40 am

I too, would love to see a 76mm Sherman (not an E8), an M-10 Wolverine or M36 Jackson, and a Priest.

The Brits could use European theater troops, an M4 firefly and a Churchill or Comet. Maybe a 25pdr if you want to be ambitious.

A Hetzer would be something fresh in the German line.

Any of the heavy weapons teams would be nice.
I collect 1/32 WWII.

I agree with LWP!
And that is my wish list. Maybe the Polish September 1939 Campaign weapons (7TP vs. Pz.I or II, P-11c vs. early version of Bf-109) would be interesting only for me, but the British or American ones with markings of the Polish Armed Forces - why not? I would like to get a Hurricane, a Spitfire or a Mustang from one of the Polish squadrons. I would like to get a Firefly or a Cromwell from the 1st Polish Armoured Division or a Polish Sherman III from the battle of Monte Cassino (and figures of the Polish soldiers too). Or one of two captured Panthers or a Hetzer used by Poles in the Warsaw Uprising 1944. Dear 21st CT and dear Forces of Valor - don't forget Poland!
Greetings from Rzeszow

Poles of the world unite!! Talk about an international forum! It's nice having you aboard Wieslaw. Maybe 21st will kick out some Poles of the 1st Polish Airborne Brigade at Arnhem, complete with General Sosabowski!

TJ

PS: Any of these in 1:18 other than the Spit and TBF, would be appeciated too...

You posted some interesting ideas for aircraft. Once 21st releases the new 1:18 aircraft they have planned for this year, we may very well see a MiG-15, F-86, F-104, and Avenger in the 1:32 scale next year. I'm frankly excited to see the new 32x P-47, P-40, and FW-190D9. Those were great 1:18 planes, so hopefully they'll make great 1:32 models - like their current ME-262.

BTW - we would be much more likely to see an F-14 Tomcat in 1:32 scale as opposed to 1:18!

IF we are talking airplanes, how about a P-39 or P-63 in Russian markings? This plane is just not done in any scales, and although it was not up to snuff as a fighter it did tremendous ATG work. How about a Rudel Stuka with the 37MM canons?
