So, What's next in 32x?????

Post by hworth18 » Tue May 02, 2006 12:51 pm

I think all the new 32x aircraft scheduled to be released are out now, so what can we expect in the next 6 months????

It's time for the ultimate, a B-17 in 1:32 scale.............

I'm hoping for a Corsair, Stuka and Me-109G...and I know they haven't touched this in 1/18 yet, but a FW-190A would be awesome!

B-25

How about a B-25, very doable. If you don't believe me, see the pic of my latest project in the customs section!

:)

Stuka and Corsairs are musts!

I can certainly see a Corsair (with folding wings), a P-38, ME-109G or Stuka as they have been done in 1:18, like most of the 32x planes to date. Then again, 21c really surprised us with the Zeros and Macchis, so it would seem anything is really possible.

I've always wondered why they haven't done a 1/32 Stuka. It seems as if that airframe would be one of the most successful. Heck, it would probably be my best chance at acquiring a Snake scheme. I already have the 1/72 FOV Snake Stuka, so I'd be more than happy to buy the 1/32 example.

Does anyone know when they might start or announce the next run of planes?

I gave up and built a 1:32 Wildcat and a Stuka. I am a big Corsair fan but I wouldnt mind seeing a Hellcat in 32x first. An Aircobra would be nice too.

In the vehicle dept, Jeeps and Kubelwagens would be nice. Some Allied armor based on the Sherman drive( like the M7 due out) would be nice. We need some M10s ect. to counter those Stugs...

There are 1:32 Kubelwagons and Jeeps, but they're FOV. Still, I have no doubt you know that  The FOV Kubel is very nice and has practically more detail than the 1:18 21c version! It is a little pricey, however.

Almost all of the above I suspect. You will see a Corsair, Lightning and Stuka before the year is out I bet.

In any case you 32x guys are spoiled sick...just finished scurrying around for 6 new planes and now you're already ansty for the next wave? (do not take offense - this is just ribbing that is rooted in jealousy. I give it to the 1/6 guys too).

you see, what it is digger, is that the tiny toys these guys play with are so wholey unsatisfying, that they constantly need to be stimulated by something new, new, new, more, more, more, lest they become bored and frustrated and as a result become aware just how small and unsatisfying those things really are.

Feel free to take offense, 32x guys...

We are not spoiled... we are hooked. Those shady 21st pushers come into your neighborhood, give you some free stuff(show off photos) and next thing you know, you are doing awful things to get more...

I have the FOV Kubels and jeeps but since these vehicles were very numerous, I need affordable quanties. 21st would fill that gap. I picked up four of the New Ray jeeps recently. They are nice, but the windshield are fixed in the up position.

I remember that we're supposed to get a Priest and 21st showed some pics of some Russians, US Marines, and Japanese troops as well as some new playsets. I can't wait to see these.

I like the airplanes but I think that I'm getting airplane'd out for the moment.

A recent discussion with 21st revealed that more 32x planes were already deep in development. They were not ready to get into details. However I was told that they would have some news on this front soon.

So I guess we have to wait it out for the moment. I personally hope for a corsair as it will make a great companion piece to the recently released Zeros.

what about armor...

Post by binder001 » Fri May 05, 2006 2:44 pm

It's all well and good to second guess the next planes, but what about vehicles? At one time 21C had a prototype for a 6X6 Dodge truck used by the Infantry and they had announced some heavy wepons and crews for US and German. These are things that are badly needed in 1/32nd. In fact I would REALLY love to see them reduce their 3/4 ton Weapons Carrier Dodge, WC51, to 1/32nd. A VERY common truck that belongs with tanks, infantry or by airplanes!

No offence. At least I didn't have to buy a hanger for my third plane. Where do you guys put'em?

So far the ceiling works pretty well. However, my Stuka and candy cane Foke Wulf seem to have no issues sharing it with the Macchis and 1/32 Tropical 109.

Just when it seems you guys might have to wait a minute for something you are getting new figure sets. Grumble..

A landing craft btw is a great idea but obviously I'd want one in 1:18. :D What better way to sell figures en masse then sell the transport? :P
