FOV UK Challenger II prices??

Post by Heer » Tue Oct 17, 2017 10:47 am

Saw this while browsing the web today:

Probably the steepest price I've ever seen for an FOV vehicle, but pretty unrealistic IMHO.

It's seems over priced. If I did not have a loose Challenger, I would be willing to pay around $150 for loose tank and $225 for boxed tank.

Recently (9/28/17), loose Challenger was sold for $146 at UK. Speaking of over priced, someone is trying to sell damaged, empty Challenger box for $65.

It is insane how much these one-time $30-$50 tanks go for these days... I have a loose FOV Challenger II and am very glad I got one when they were first released a dozen or so years ago. I really wish they had made some 1/32 modern British Army or Royal Marines figures to go with it, as like the Iraqi T-72 (to name another rare and expensive FOV vehicle) the Challenger just sort of stands alone whereas the Abrams, M-60s, Bradleys and other US vehicles have a number of supporting figures to go with them.

Still, I wonder how prices on the older WWII vehicles will drop after the reborn FOV line is released with better toolings of the same tanks?

Older 1/32 FOV AFV prices will drop. But, they will not drop too drastically. There will always be collectors wanting to complete the collection.

I too miss good old days when we could buy all those 1/32 FOV AFVs for $30-$35 range.

Yikes! I’m very glad I got both those models when I did, back around 2005. The T-72 is one of the better FOV models with its opening engines, hatches, and hull details. The Challenger is a bit more underwhelming in terms of functionality, but is still an impressive model. It is a shame there were not more repaints of both tanks.
