My armor collection

Post by [CAT]CplSlade » Sat Sep 02, 2017 10:09 pm

As a result of the Great Photobucket Massacre of 2017, the bulk of my links got cut, so I decided to move to imgur. Below is the link to that page, which I will update as I finish kits. I will also be adding a similar thread for my aircraft. I am 48 armor kits completed in about the past five years. Mixed in with the small handful of planes I've done so far I am cranking them out one a month on average, which I don't think is usual. But I am determined to outlive my stash as they only made so much stuff during WWII, so there is a goal post.

I already have five more in the works over the next couple of months, plus I finished the Ki61 Tony and am halfway through a Spitfire (Which means I have a 21C Spitfire S1 scheme available).

Those look great, so many finished kits with weathering and all. Great goal btw. Thanks for posting!

Beautiful work, [CAT]CplSlade :D

I really like your camouflage work as well and would love to hear more about how you do it :D

I use bluetac from one dollar store for doing camo work on tank and plane. It's cheap and reusable :D

Other than making sure the paint is nicely diluted and spraying at 10-15psi I don't really do anything special. They are all freehand except the Hetzer, which was masked with blue poster putty (like Silly Putty but not as soft).
