Post by JollyRoger » Fri Jan 13, 2017 10:06 am

Thought this would be found interesting by the readers. The price is steep but the model is beautiful.

I think this was built by one of the guys over at largescaleplanes.com. They also did the wood grain and magnets.

Don't think I would pay a $650 premium over the kit price, though, nice as it is.

That is a BEAUTIFUL build of the Horten 229. The builder did an excellent job on the kit. In my opinion it is worth the ticket price for this awesome aircraft. It's certainly worth every penny when compare to the 1/30 wooden Horten from Thomas Gunn which has very little detail and shocking price.

You're better off buying the kit yourself.
It's an easy build especially when you put the landing gear up.

I have the kit, and am going to base it on the eBay guy's build log.

The Horten is sold for $835 which is excellent for the seller/builder ( although there were only 2 bids).

That is a fantastic build, I like the unpainted wood finish. Its truly an impressive kit but as I've said before
I'd rather a kit without the interior (hidden) details.
Very nice looking piece.
