Doyusha 1/72 pre-built models?

Post by aferguson » Wed Feb 24, 2016 9:29 am

I just discovered these.....pre built 1/72 models by Doyusha. I gather they are like Easy Models, ie plastic, fixed undercarriage....has anyone seen these in person or can comment on the quality/accuracy? They look good in photos but that doesn't always mean much.

Edit: after looking at the pics again, i'm beginning to think these are repackaged Easy Models. Some of the schemes are the same and I saw a couple of small errors that are the same as on Easy Models.

This has come up before, AF. I'm 99.9% sure that these are Easy Models repackaged under a new brand name.

Aferg, I bought 1 of their Zero's in while in Japan and they are the exact same thing as MRC/EasyModels. They just had a different aircraft scheme and the box art.

Isn't the Doyusha A5M an exception to the other Easy Model types, or is it a kit?
Never seen one by EM or I'd have bought it at the lower price.

Kinda expensive.

Still waiting for Easy Model to release a few more from their preview catalog.

I have the 1/72 HobbyBoss A5M kit. The one you posted, Dauntless looks like a kit. There are 2 different aircraft in the pictures and the one looks like it has a decal on the tail.

I think the a5m you posted Dauntless is a model kit not a prebuilt. Correct me if i''m wrong. I was hoping EM would come out with a prebuilt Claude since Hobby Boss has a kit but it hasn't happened. I rather thought EM had gone out of business as all of their models seem to be drying up and getting harder and harder to find.

I have built many of the Hobby Boss 1/72 easy build kits and they are NOT Easymodel, and Easymodel are NOT HobbyBoss kits built up. It is possible that Doyusha is using a combination of both since they are all manufactured in China and many times even under the same factory roof.
