Oxford making a Supermarine Walrus

Post by aferguson » Mon Jan 25, 2016 10:45 am

Just got an email from Jumbilies on upcoming Oxfords. Biggest news is a Supermarine Walrus.....pretty cool choice. Looking forward to it. Otherwise it was just a small number of repaints, mostly on the higher prices stuff.. The email covered Q2 and Q3 releases.

I'm looking forward to an actual picture of this release (saw the picture on Jumbilies site, what is that?)...I found this interesting short history, including a bizarre story of a stolen Walrus absconded with by would-be defectors to Germany...check it out!

first release is an RAAF pre-war plane. Not too interesting, but there will be a bunch of releases in the months to follow which will no doubt be more interesting liveries.

This is an interesting release. Think I'd like to get one to go with my other planes in similar FAA colors.

Didn't know it was a pre-war version? but at least in camouflage. Not too keen on the over all silver pre-war Brit aircraft.

The Oxford top profile shows no insignia on the wings, yet in C44's link the one on display in Hendon does. :?:
